this video is from back in 2001. now in 2007, players have improved vastly and are even faster. Search youTube for "TGM" or "death mode"

This game isn't smooth enough for me. Tetrinet 2 is where it's at. And if you want something even faster, try Quadra.

Quadra sucks, Its not that fast, and it has gravity turned on, which makes it too easy.

Quadra is kinda fast, but the 'blocks per minute' data it displays is false. It doesn't take the delays from clearing lines and doing cascades into account and just acts like no time passes when the player is clearing lines and stuff.

These guys spend a good 10 hours a day playing tetris. No one who plays regularly can get THAT good. I've been playing an hour every day for 3 months (since I got tetris DS), and have come close, but can't really get any faster or better.
