The relationship between Canada and the United States, eh? Interestingly enough, in 1987, Geoff would start hosting a new version of "Chain Reaction" for USA Network, but it was taped in Montreal.

My favorite skit is when Geoff is putting on a trance and the nightmare skit that has a contestant is throwing rubber chickens at him. Geoff Edwards is my favorite game show host ever.

I remember Geoff Edwards. He is one of the great game show host legends.

Not only that, I never knew that he was vunerable to being hypnotized, like myself!

This was a real fun show. Barris knew how to please a crowd.

I wish this show could come back. If not new episodes, I say reruns. And if not GSN, I say another Christian cable network.

The skit of this is that Johnny was trying to hypnotize the contestant but instead Geoff was hypnotized on accident. So in case you all don't get lost.

I enjoyed seeing Johnny Jacobs -- I first got familier with who he was when he was Steve Allen's sidekick on his 1962--1964 Westinghouse show. In about 1981, I attended a taping of Treasure Hunt -- during the breaks in taping, Johnny would banter with the audience, and talked to me a number of times. Until recently, I had no idea that Johnny died shortly after that.

When it comes to the game show universe, ones from Chuck Barris (like this) are hell, Goodson-Todman and Merv Griffin shows are heaven, and others are just in between.

I wish somebody would post up the jamaican lady winning that $50,000 check on the 80's version of treasure hunt. It was funny as hell. I thought she was gonna kill geoff for a moment. I would like to really, really, really, really see that video. If somebody has it, put it on here.
