  • @topps17 I still endorse my SAME methods in NNMB. It's not a one size fits all solution. Some guys DO need to use my methods and over shoot their bodyweight. Bulking is okay, it's the DEGREE of the bulk you take though.

  • Neil is right that excess calories put a strain HOWEVER the cutting portion would have the opposite effect. So if your doing frequent cuts right after short bulks it won't be a problem. Its only if your doing bulks for many months and doing cuts once in a great while.

  • Hey DelMonte quick question, Kyle talks about the production of extra fat cells when you are bulking from intermediate to advanced. Do you produce extra fat cells when bulking from beginner to intermediate? Or does it depend on how much excess weight you gain during the bulk? Thanks bro.

  • @TheSituation234 Just keep your bodyfat around 15% - no higher - and you won't have to worry about the fat cell hyperplasia.

  • @izmael44 If you listen Kyle's not saying that it's bad. Listen to him again, he says "it's proven successful for a lot of trainers, especially early in their career." Vince's book is an outline of what you need to know as a beginner.

    And Vince's meal plan my look very strict, but it's only a guideline for people who have no idea were to start. He only emphasizes on eating healthy balanced meals and increasing your calorie intake.

  • @maxdragonn Okay I went to listen to it again and Vince asks him the question what are the 3 Biggest Mistakes guys are making. Kyle says that there is soo much information out there that shows the disadvantages to the "Bulk Cut cycle". I just made the point that bulk cut is out of date and kyle mentions it aswell.

  • I feel like Problem #2 might be an issue I have. I know how much I'm putting into my body and my body type (ectomorph) and I understand how to eat clean and well, but how would you suggest I figure out how much my body needs nutritionally?

  • @dar482 I am ectomorphic as well. I find eating most of my carbs in the morning (50 percent of my intake) in the morning and before the workout and after the workout. Its easier in the morning since you can have more simple sugars such as fruits but don't neglect vegetables. Big intake of calories in the morning before your workout and after your workout then "snacks" between those meals.

  • @wannabeers it means caloric deficit, then caloric uptake

  • @wannabeers Bulking is when you eat more calories than your body uses up which allows you to put on muscle mass(hence bulking)..cutting is when you drop your calories down a bit below your maintanence level to drop bodyfat or get cut up

  • @metallicat61003 ah ok, well i just eat as much as i can since im ectomorph. Im only 17, but i think im doing good by going to the gym twice a week and not pushing too heavy weights. I do like 8 kg per bicep, 25kg both triceps, 35 on lats and so on. Could anyone give me any advice on what NOT to do and what TO do? :>

  • @wannabeers I just read a great article (funny and informative) that would help you. Go to Jason Ferruggia's website, click on the home icon, and scroll down until you hit an article called "How to Gain Weight". This article is for young ectomorphs, like yourself. Hope this helps.

  • @yyportne read the story, and it helped a heeeelll of a lot. I'm used to eat almost all the time. I eat breakfast around 8, then eat a sandwich or two at 11, then lunch at 1 o clock, a few more sandwhiches at 3-4 o clock and then two dinners at 6 and 9. Now the story said 3 times a day, big meals cos when eating small amounts the body isnt gunna digest it and therefore its a complete waste of stomach space. Thanks a lot man

  • Just do a 4 week bulk 2 week cut cycle like Layne Norton, same results as traditional bulk/cut cycles, without getting fat.

  • @KingRobinho to some extent it does...but he also offers a LOT of alternative foods you can eat to get the right amount of calories. Doesn't that make it less generic if is flexible for you?
