ESPN had something to do with exclusive shit in some way. ESPN has licensing with the NFL video, and Madden wanted that. I think Madden is basically paying ESPN (which had licensing with 2K) the money, and more, of what couldve been made with another 2K game.

Great video dude. I totally agree with everything you said and it's 2 years later. 2K5 raised the bar on Football simulators that year which is why EA had to buy the rights to the NFL. They have no interest in making the perfect football game and purposely keep it inferior so they can keep shelling out crap with some flashy tinsel on it to keep people buying it. Pro-Tak was the big improvement this year, which is cute, but the blocking SUCKS ASS and has for the last 3 years.

very good comparison and very good game when i was watching around 7:00 it was amazing how a game 4 years older than madden 09 can be better by far. they way you cut in 09 is like ur a ballerina or some shit and when you watch that inter around 700 by him you see that he stops and cut into it when hes running to ther td. they did an amazing job and i hope ea does not renew the contract

I have Madden 10 and NEVER PLAYED ESPN 2k5, (not into sports when it came out, age 11). Now I watch Football every chance I get, I even watch NFL Network. Just by watching vids of ESPN 2k5, I can honestly say that EA doesn't match up
The Idiots at EA probably played ESPN 2k5 to check out the competition, and realized they will not be able to keep up ever year, so they bought the NFL licence. But I dont understand why they dont try to improve, now that they DONT HAVE ANY COMPETITION!

Great video! So true, I have been saying the same thing for years. It was a slap in the face to all gamers across the world that the NFL allowed EA to purchase exclusive rights to the game. It killed all competition and allowed EA to simply re-release the same game year after year with minor changes. Pure bull-terd! Madden says NFL football, but its not a football game either. It looks like it, they got a football with real NFL players, but once you press the hike button. i have no idea what game they are playing. ITs not football.
I will say that 2k5 is a very beautiful game and Madden could learn a lot from them. I myself would say im a "Madden Baller" although the various glitches that occur. I will say that for the most part patches are updated fairl quick online. The one thing i didnt like about the 2k franchise is that you cant really minipulate defenses or offensive hot routes. In REAL life NFL teams minipulate opposing teams with exotic setups, blitz', and offensive formation.
Those issues you mentioned would be addressed should 2K have right to use NFL license(they have to wait until 2012). Don't forget ESPN NFL 2k5 is almost 6 years old.

I have Madden 10 and NEVER PLAYED ESPN 2k5, (not into sports when it came out, age 11). Now I watch Football every chance I get, I even watch NFL Network. Just by watching vids of ESPN 2k5, I can honestly say that EA doesn't match up

The Idiots at EA probably played ESPN 2k5 to check out the competition, and realized they will not be able to keep up ever year, so they bought the NFL licence. But I dont understand why they dont try to improve, now that they DONT HAVE ANY COMPETITION!

EA's licence is done in 2012, but they will get it renewed probably. Someone needs to blatantly tell the EA designers and programmers that they FUCKEN suck at making Football games and show them ESPN 2k5

Okay the only reason why he broke the tackles, and the linemen didn't block in madden was because you were playing on rookie. It's so obvious. Cause im playing on rookie now and you can run through anyone with out being tackled. Piece of cake. Madden all day everyday.

Great video! So true, I have been saying the same thing for years. It was a slap in the face to all gamers across the world that the NFL allowed EA to purchase exclusive rights to the game. It killed all competition and allowed EA to simply re-release the same game year after year with minor changes. Pure bull-terd! To this day I still have not bought a Madden game since 2003 when I got sick of them and tried 2K sports game. I bought 2k3, 2k4 and 2k5 instead.

I will say that 2k5 is a very beautiful game and Madden could learn a lot from them. I myself would say im a "Madden Baller" although the various glitches that occur. I will say that for the most part patches are updated fairl quick online. The one thing i didnt like about the 2k franchise is that you cant really minipulate defenses or offensive hot routes. In REAL life NFL teams minipulate opposing teams with exotic setups, blitz', and offensive formation.

Madden might have the whole idea of the blocking linemen that move like one machine from how linemen are in theory supposed to block.
If I had a game with a current roster and Madden character models, weather effects, grass, and stadium graphics as well as the pathfinding of NFL 2K5, I would be incredibly happy.
