  • Funny thing was. Pete Townshend hated when people sang along.

  • I love Mike's cover bands because they pay a great tribute to some of the greatest bands of all time, but they still have their own voice. They aren't trying to be exactly like the Who, but they come close enough if you ask me.

  • Unfortunately for Portnoy, to play like Moon you got to play like a non-drummer....

  • Holy fuck, this is fucking epic.

  • That singer looks like Muhammad from Necrophagist.

  • I like all the guys in this band ,......but as a Who 'tribute" NAAAAHHHHH

stick to what you know boys.

    love ya but

Billy n Paul and Gary f'n rock as does Mike .....just not as a Who tribute ....sorry :\

I was at the NYC gig at BB's.

Barry (Roger) in The Wholigans (dot.c..o..m) a WHO tribute since 82

  • vocals were terrible

  • MIKE PORTNOY FTW

  • I love Mike to death! But.. I just feel he didn't capture Keith that well. Don't get me wrong Mike's great!!! And, then again, Moon the loon was irreplaceable.

  • Yeah, other than the exact spot on performance and total reproduction of his kit, it's pretty weak.

  • well it's just a tribute. mike's got better things to do than sit around trying to sound as close to moon as possible, you know?

  • 1st time i see paul play a gibson

  • Sorry, it's an Ibanez.

A lot of their early guitars mimicked Gibsons of the day.

  • yes i know that but like at 0:03 it looks like the gibson symbol on the neck

  • its an ibanez actually... he plays the same one for a video of the echo song...

  • Was this the Chicago show? That was SO AWESOME! I love Mike's showmanship. He kept chucking sticks at the sound guys behind stage bc his monitor wasn't right. And I caught a stick...

  • Yeah, it was. Were you there? I'm actually looking for more pics from this concert...do you have any?

  • sweet lineup

  • Gary looks very Roger-esque, here.

  • stupid mother fuckin fags the lot off u. fuck man, i really doubt portnoy could be a suitable replacement for the legend MOON THE LOON. and i really really doubt tht moon could pull of even one DT song even after years of practise. they r both two legends in two very different ways man. their both irreplacable. They'r both fuckin drummin gods

  • Well said.

  • Coooooool!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for slayering the who...these are 4 great musicians but to play the who you have to be cocky which they're not.

the who are the greatest band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • you are an idiot! keith is maybe the first great and modern ROCK DRUMMER of the history of rock and roll drumming. Every drummer, Portnoy included, is ispired by Keith Moon. The Who and Keith Monn are HISTORY of rock. As a drummer you should know it very well...

  • probably you don't realize that the beauty of a song doesn't depend on the skills that the drummer has but on the emotions and feelings he transmit to the audience. Dream Theater songs are "cold", there's no feeling and passion....AND RESPECT KEITH MOON, A LEGEND OF ROCK...

  • wow your not gay "its all about how warm a song is (when its in my ass)" FAGG

  • He's a big fan of Keith so he's ok by me.

  • "it's all about how warm a song is (when it's in my ass)".

i'm sorry, everybody, but that was a good one. Get this man a medal.

  • FUCK YOU!!! im not saying peart or bonham is better or worse, but im tired of people actually comparing drummers like that. YOU ALL CAN FUCK OFFF!!! Neil, John, and Keith were amazing drummers, who never in the daylight would compare themselves! GET OVER IT!

  • ALSO DANNY CAREY HE IS THE SHIT 2!

  • lol no, honestly portnoy isn't the best for rock, especially the who. and keith moon was a much better live drummer...

  • While Portnoy was the most innovative and influential drummer of the 90's.

Keith Moon was one of the first innovators for the drums ever. He's up there with Buddy Rich IMO.

  • the drummer blows.

  • you have no idea what you're talking about. get more up to date on your drummers. also, I'd like to mention that this recording blows beyond belief.

  • ugh.

  • This blows - thanks for the depressing video.

  • Sorry but I thought that was terrible

  • HAIL PORTNOY!

  • Awsome just ordered this on DVD and can't wait to get it.

  • awesome! lol i like the fan at the beginning..."OH MY GOD!!!"

  • Gilbert... the best... ever!!

  • Gilbert, Cherone, Sheehan and Portnoy, what a dream team!

  • second that..Paul is a gifted god hes got it all feel speed and a unique touch plus a funny ass sense of humor to go with

  • I absolutely adore Paul Fucking Gilbert

  • are you sure it wasn't you singing? :)
