My YT career started April 1....I have 6 Videos...all had 5 stars until I woke up one morning and all were at 1.5, WTF is was pissed but after an investigation and comments from other users I realized that if someone doesn't like you they can bury all your vids:( Who ever it is doesn't like empowered women. Yes. The YouTube rating system has been pawned. There is a rating bot that can give and take away ratings. I suspect this is being used by certain organizations to control the perception of the popularity of certain ideas. Seriously broken.
Just dumped a boatload of 5 stars on your vids, but I can only do it the honest way, one at a time, I'm not privy to the secret christian insider handshake so I don't know how to bot. It's tough being an honest Pagan instead of an anything goes jumping Jeebus head or allah marshmalla.
Maybe it's because Nuffrespect's Hulu vid demonstarted how to change the main page to see what's really been discussed, favourited, rated and so in order to stop contraversial/informative videos being top-listed they hit their top suspects and that's why today, even in the alternative bracket it's all Britain's Got Talent and Miss USA...?
It has to be a hack, not sure why someone would spend the time to create a routine to do this but it is certainly possible to create and would not need any back-end programming. Simply parse the video url's and use a routine with a form submit for the desired rating while bouncing the submit from different ip addresses.
What I can't figure out is why this is not reflected in the insight figures, that seems like it would take back-end programming to accomplish.
They just SLAMMED my channel!! I was up really late last night due to a lot of leg pain, and was checking out YouTube. When I got up just three and a half hours later, BAM, all the videos listed on my page were taken down from an average five stars to an average one and a half!! :(
In a matter of a few hours, even with videos that I hardly got any views on at all for weeks, which had 1-4 ratings each, all got 30+ votes--ALL NEGATIVE. All the time and energy I put into these vids. God damn it!
yeah, I noticed this too. Either the credit crunch has really affected the YT IT department, or YT is doing it on purpose to promote other vids in the search function
I've had some of my vids disappear, or become no longer available. Like the page and comments were there, but you couldn't view the vid. So I commented myself, "CENSORED !" and a couple days later they came back as if nothing happened.
Being in IT, I have seen stuff like this when there are sloppy operations. When a new thing goes in that requires everything get touched/converted, having unintended results. Not enough testing. etc,...
same thing going on with jakluk4 accnt she has a thousand subs too and im one and her vids are always top notch just like yours so something is going on
that IS odd.........about 2 weeks ago 2/3 of my "friends" disappeared off my page. wonder who is responsible for these youtube anomalies and why? all of these happenings are so bizarre......

to me its some who wants a last stand on yt before the big flip , i would say they are miss guild in pissing people so much.
or its yt hiding behind all of this for bandwidth increase. as people sound off about it.
