@night5001 mine had 6 catalytic converters too it was a 98, I have no idea why those came like that and what I did was cut 4 off and I let 2 and what I did was cut the silencers and put 3.5 Chrome Tips and put straight pipes all the way from catalytic converters to the tips and it sounded just like this one lol and it was only 300 bucks.

@SDGwrestling: It did before the H pipe. At this time i installed MIL eliminators, so there was no check engine light, and it ran great.. it just wouldn't pass a sniffer or visual inspection test.

Do you even have tailpipes on it? Seems to me why it would sound bad. Tails, and some decent tips would drastically change the sound. I have magnapacks on my 5.0 with dumps before the rear axle. It sounds like shit because I havent bought an X Pipe to put on the tails and tips yet. I also have no cats and headers, so its damn loud. Tails make all the difference in sound.

it has tail pipes, but its the stock catback, its not a full slp catback, just the weld in's which is partially why it sounds like that.

I never thought it sounded good either way. SLP is a Chevy thing. SLP is to Chevy what Ford Racing is to FORD. You just need to get something else on there. I just installed O/R X on an existing LM2 catback on my friends '98, and it does sound pretty good! I'll try to post some videos.

We just installed a high flow catted X on Mal's GT (to quiet it down a tad).

Nice. Magnaflow is my choice of exhaust. Very good quality, straight through, hardly any drone. That's what's on my Cobra. I had it both ways, O/R H and O/R X.

It doesn't sound as loud and raspy as before, because now I have a PI Intake which has changed it a lot. Lost a little bit of the raw sound.

My car also has Bullitt Rims, lowering springs and a few other things now.

They are badass dude. I'd definatly recommend them dude. It's a lot more shifting around town, at lower RPM's but it makes your car feel like it has 50 more horsepower. The only thing that sucks, is that it changes your Speedo, and odometer.
