This isn't such a great review. First problem was the flurry of confused HP figures: 427 Camaro, 280 v6, 300&somthing v6 turbo, and even 440 for the challenger. WTF is all that?? Second problem is that there is no real driving impressions of the car. I mean, just because the '10 didnt have Camaro HP #s doesnt mean it's not fun. 3rd problem was the radical V6 turbo suggestions to Ford. Thank god they didn't listen cuz the 5.0 and 3.7 are absolutely phenomenal powerplants.

im not a huge fan of mustangs to be honest they suck when it comes to speed but body and duriblilty and even price it takes the lead of the corvette but the corveete z21 or even c6 could smoke a gt500 no doubt in my mind

HMMM how bout 5.0 liter V8 with variable valve timing, direct injection, the twin overhead Cam they got. And the twin turbo chargers. OK, maybe tune that 5.0 down to a 4.5 and still get 400 Hp. That would be nice. And good mileage.

no shit weights a factor in speed and big engines are the best part of havin a muscle car. 5.0 is big but 6.2 is bigger. if the mustang is so light and nibble then throw a 6.0 on it like everyone else and then ud have somthing to brag about. im 16 and know what im talkin about, and just because i know what size engine my dad drives dosent make me a 12 year old.

wow ford has had nothin bigger in a ford gt than 5.0 is that the best they can do, its kinda a small engine for a car meant only for speed only about same as my dads truck engine. a car for speed needs a big engine, like the chevys 6.2 or dodges 6.1. if ur into small engines and high power then go ahead but u get more of the fun with a 6.2.

The bigger then enginee; the more it weighs. And yes, Ford has a bigger engine for the Mustang. Its called the Shelby GT500. 5.4L DOHC V8-SuperCharged. either there reviews are really highly rated, or not. Power isnt everything, even with 315 HP the Mustang is still a deadly sword. I honestly dont see the point of the new 5.0 liter 410 HP engine, its overkill. But thats cool that you wont have to pay much extra for it.

This was a humorous video being that he compared the Mustang GT (Base V-8) 315 hp rating to the Challenger SRT8 (TOP MODEL) rating of 425 Hp even though he stated 440 . I will admit that the Camaro SS with 426 hp may be a bargain but it also has the Corvette/ Holden / etc , to help eat away some of "ENGINEERING " cost .

they have to find a way to replace the v6 right now because its low of expectations. I think that the turbo will be equal to the v8 power and the v8 should get a bump to 400 or so. nothing is wrong with a turbo on the v6 people. its not rice. some of you talk about only "v8, v8, v8 yea thats manly" and its like you're trying to compensate for something. no offense.

They're coming out with a 300+HP V6 and 400+HP V8 for the 2011 model year. So in less than a year from now they'll have the new motors in the 2011 Mustang.

Ecoboost probably won't go in the v6 because it has too much hp (~365) surprisingly. They are putting in a new 5.0 L v8 in the 2011 mustang and F150. This 5.0L will make about 400 hp. They will probably want a bigger gap than 35 hp between models.

Sorry to be so critical, but being a diehard mustang fan, I couldnt fathom a day where a mustang didn't have its iconic roar of its v8. I mean we all can agree the 4.6 has got to be the most reconizable exhaust sound of any pony car it also went down in history as the 2nd best U.S engine in history. I have an 05 mustang with a 2.4 kenne bell running 8psi (460hp) and I get 26mpg replacing the v8 in the base gt with a turbo v6 is the shittiest idea I have heard from any gear head. its what makes the mustang the perfect pony car, v8, good power, style rwd all for under 30,000. If anything give usefull input like "hey ford lets put that 5.0 400hp 6speed in the mustang a little quicker," not "hey lets drop a turbo v6 in the mustang and make it a ricestang."
