Wow I forgot about this post, but it is you that know nothing about football. A first down ends it. All VT would have had to do after a first down is take a knee and the game is over. Even though Syracuse had a bad offense we still needed to react to them and make sure they didn't score. The Cuse was much more likely to score running their offense, than with us in the Victory formation.

@antoine40219 And I'm really not sure how badly Mike Vick was punished by the league. He was suspended like 6 games when he got out of prison for a felony. That's not bad considering Big Ben got 4 games and his case was so weak it didn't even go to court. I think the media and a lot of really liberal people threw this whole thing out of wack. We're getting to a time where certain people want to see athletes punished MORE than regular people. Vick was the scapegoat.

Since the dawn of mankind, dogs and men have been linked. There are 3000 year old Eqyptian paintings depicting dogs and man together. The funniest thing is a lot the people posting bad comments don't care about dogs in the slightest. Most of them don't like Vick. he was the most fun player to watch and im sure all the NFL would agree with me...even minnesota when he ran for the record by a quarterback. he should have a spot on any team when he gets out because even though he is a risk off the field, his athleticism and speed will more than make up for that. he might not be a quarterback, but he can score. just hope he's been working out in jail...

That was actually a mistake. If he had taken a knee inside the 10 the game would have been over. Because he scored a TD Syracuse could have scored a TD and 2pt conversion to tie.

Wow I forgot about this post, but it is you that know nothing about football. A first down ends it. All VT would have had to do after a first down is take a knee and the game is over. Even though Syracuse had a bad offense we still needed to react to them and make sure they didn't score. The Cuse was much more likely to score running their offense, than with us in the Victory formation.
