    Good skills !!!

  • believe me man, i trust only in my ears! and that pinky goes to the 4th fret. :)

  • @scoby1knoby I get it bud. I didn't pick up a guitar yesterday its wasn't meant to be critical Its nice that you take the time to post your videos but maybe you should say that they are not accurate to the true song and that its a general guidline.

  • Merci pour cette excellente vidéo, très bien expliquée, tu es un bon professeur, et cette chanson est magnifique.

  • Aye well done Laddy, yoo an Gilmour the only ones playing that bit correctly on the whole of U2B, very nice!

    Laddy fancy's himself a poet!

  • nice guitar you got that song down u just need to be a little less heavy handid

  • that guitar has a great sound.

  • good lesson. best one i've found on youtube. but i still dont get if the first chord is a 4 on the A string or a 5. because the 4 sounds all weird and cool but it sounds good with the D as well. does anyone know for sure?

  • @xGSxMayhem94

Yeah, he's playin' it right, don't watch any others on here, they're all wrong!

    1st finger 5th string 2nd fret

Pinky (get it?) 4th string 5th fret

and Tremolo effect and you're all set!

  • What an excellent easy lesson mate, thank you so much! Do you know the chords for "is there anybody out there"? I love playin Floyd, Levellers, Christy moore, Ac/Dc and Zep. Keep up the good work son, cos there's more of us than them!! lol.

  • Good job friend. Shit on all the haters who checked this video out because they can't play the song.

  • You are a great teacher, I have read some negatives on here, but keep doing what you do man, for those who are so negative, maybe "they" ought to be teaching...you have have been a big help to me, keep it up my friend...

  • @thricefelt Please shut up and make your own tutorial. He helps to learn the song.

  • Very nice - ty

  • The first Chord is simply Emin,It should be Emin9

  • @Derveregun That's true

  • Very helpful, thanks!

  • great video. however, did you mean A7 at the beginning, not an E7?

  • say the pinky goes on 4th fret......watch gilmours lesson.otherwise sounds good!!!

  • Cool arrangement, scoby1knoby, I like it and think I can pick it up with a bit of practice. Cheers. By the way, my wife's fae Balloch, Loch Lomond.

  • thanks man very helpful

  • Aye pinky deffo goes on 4th fret. Ive got the book..

But that still sounds awesome man.

What kinda guitars that big chief ?? Sounds lovely like

  • Ahh, but books are more often than not just someone else's version and transcription - Trust your ears man!!

  • @scoby1knoby

You are correct man. Not knocking you man. You taught me well.

    lol

    Keep Rockin Man

  • @scoby1knoby I gota agree with the 4th fret, the 5th fret would mean you are playing the same note as the adjacent open G string. But dont take my word for it, take it from the man himself.

    watch?v=ty-fEmhjOng&NR=1

But having said that, great video, helped me alot so thank you :)

  • @rebelbhoy1888 - I've got lots of books. The majority of them are wrong. Mostly they're written by by piano players looking for some extra cash. I'd go by what sounds right more than the printed commercial page. Good job on this Scoby! Thanks.

  • @martinaxman

    Aye suppose yer right m8

  • Cool. Except the pinky goes on the 4th fret on that 1st chord to make it an Emin9

  • Must be an Em9 and a half then lol!! or Em/G maybe. I don't know but I know the chord itself is right.

  • if you see it as a chord then its a power chord and the A7 is a normal A

  • cheers for that m8 been wondering for years how the chorus bit goes

    your a star !

    mon the hibees

  • Excellent tutorial! Fantastic song that I hadn't even really thought about playing on an acoustic, but it sounds fantastic. Cheers!

  • Your guitar sound is huge! I never could see the headstock. What is it? The sound and volume is great.

  • It's a Taylor 814ce, The strings on it are nanaoweb Elixir 10 gauge

  • ur fukn good at guitar

  • Nice one mate been lookin for that cord after the seventh but everyone who plays it skips it but im meticulous and I can see you are a man of talent .

  • just a thing I noticed, you say the first chord is e minor 9th. However, for you to play e minor 9th, you must play f# for it to be a 9th?

  • I'm from glasgow, and I think you are very clear in your explaination...I don't understand why some people can't understand you?
