  • @athlete4eva011 to show it could be used for other purposes. i presume they didnt SAY anything though to keep the focus on charging electronics like the title

  • can u make something that transmit charging signals to the ipod so we charge in a car withouth cords?

  • that means its possible for a macbook pro to charge wirelessy

  • @UltimatePenguinTeam

    'That'? No it doesn't dumbfuck

  • This is so yesterday... china has a product that charges any phone once connected via BlueTooth. It only cost like $10. I am asking my friend to get one for me the next time he goes there for business.

  • powermat dose the same?

  • Yeah, with all the each-sold-separately receiver which costs almost the same as the actual mat itself.

Powermat AKA Greedy Fuckers, believed they could use their monopoly to earn the public's money. Sadly, they're not a monopoly, they're just sad fools.

  • It's a good concept but there are a few flaws with it such as needing all those attachments. You have to plug the main charger in, then get that encasement for the product, itself, and it just mounts costs. And the wire you would lose from plugging in the charger for the product itself is merely replaced by the wire of the charger itself. Again good concept, but impractical implementation.

  • Right my ipod touch is completely broken inside the bit where you plug in the charger and usb. So does anything need to go in the charger socket of the ipod when using this ???coz if not im gettin opne of these :P

  • yes you need to plug something into the socket

  • Why would anyone pay for this, Just plug it in to the charger that your phone comes with.

  • why was his coffee cup on there?

  • So technically it's not wireless, you're still plugging in the pad.

  • ...so this maybe a stupid question, but what if you accidentally touch the pad? Do you get electrocuted? I would think there are some safety concerns he forgot to mention. Is it safe to touch?

  • @HarryCaskey Of course it's safe, its not like the power coming from your plug, its only 5v max! Hell lick it if you like it wont hurt.

  • @HarryCaskey You immediately die on contact

  • they need to make the skins look less ugly because it doesnt look natural with the iphone

  • What are the green credentials of this product? Does the mat turn on when you place your iPod with the wireless technology on it or is it on all the time?

  • teslas coil. its not completely wireless anyways.

  • this thing still isn't available. after YEARS of it being "out" or so the company says. they only have adapters for the razr and blackberry. what good is that? A failed product!

  • they have one for game controllers at bestbuy for 30 bucks, i think the phone ones will be out soon

  • will it work with ipod nano ?please wirte back

  • wow, you totally missed the bigger picture and you're a dick...

  • Your not a dick ... your an israeli, cant get any worse than that...

  • Are you kidding me? this is revolutionary. In the future this could be used to transfer files between devices without any wires. you still think this is pointless?

This is quite a good idea. btw, that last remark was not cool by anyy means.. pengo20007..

  • you can already transfer files between devices with loads of applications. lol...do u even own an iphone?

  • Comment removed

  • this isnt about transferring files its about transferring power which has never really been done b4 0__0

  • your fucking stupid this video is about transfering power form point A to point B. my god your obviously retarded .

  • Just out of curiosity (I don't know if the makers of this product watch the comments on this video, but regardless,) what would happen should, say, you drop your keys on this pad? Has it be made save to recognize the difference between it's adapters (the ones embedded in the skins) and just standard metal? Because I do not that purchasing an item that could potentially be extremely dangerous is prudent. Thanks!

  • what exactly is the point of this?! you can juts plug it in your computer or wall. this is sort of a stupid idea, why would anyone need one of these?

  • but i wanna no if you NEED the skin, or it will just work cuz, it would be stupid if you HAVE to buy the skin

  • Does it work for a cell phone?

    like the sidekick slide....

  • does the pad need to be pluged into an outlet

  • Even if you still need a wire, at least it frees you from needing several. If you use it for, say, half a dozen devices, it means you only have to keep one outlet tied up instead of six (or possibly USB ports), and only have to take one (admittedly bulky) charger anywhere you go.

Oh, and if it ever takes off, you could charge away from home (at a friend's place... maybe in public places, too?) regardless of the particular device you have.

  • THATS INTERESTING

  • i will buy

  • cool idea, if it was made into a table or a desk or something, and the "technology" was in the ipod/iphone/blackberry already, than it would be cool. you could just set your device on you table, walk away, and let it charge.

  • maybe if the pad was hidden underneath a table top or desktop and unseen it would be more useful

  • a charging cup? lol, when will theu be relesed i want one sooo bad!

  • At the moment scientists have powered a 240v light bulb up wirelessly from a sensor in the wall. This principle of powering is pointless at the moment but i think its definatly the start of good things to come :D

  • However, dare i say it, i think this technology at the moment is pretty damn pointless. 1) the pad still needs a wire 2) you have to buy a sensor so why not just buy a phone charger?

If this catches on and cellphone companys buld the sensors into their phones then that would b good. However, what would be totally awesome is if they did this and the phone did not have to be on the pad, so it was like switch the phone on... aaah instant charging... everywhere you walk! haha. That would be fun

  • iphone is the best

  • what is wrong with just spending an extra 2 seconds plugging it in normally??? stupid product!

  • maybe people who are on the phone alot like at work don't want to plug and unplug their phone. They just set it down on their desk then pick it up when it rings. or when you come home just set all your stuff on the counter and walk away.

  • so now instead of using the chargers that came with the products we have to buy a charger and buy accessories

  • the chargers on the back of those iphones skins look terrible

  • cool!

  • You are using microscopic electric nanites that travel through the device which can really hard the device. I suggest not to use this, the nanites can ruin your device.

  • thanx now i know not to buyt this thing

  • dude you have to plug it into a unit der der der. AND I know its kool and all, prut dont ruin it by simply TOSSING the ipod onto it. I did tht with my other ipod, and got bad results

  • it takes the same amount of time to charge using the wildcharge. This is not "trickle" charge which is what you're referring to.

  • i completely agree with you this is what i thought exactly i was mislead i expect like charges being sent to your phone you still have to plug in that pad

  • what are u going to come up next?

wireless lan cards? that must be in physical contact with the router?

    wireless my ass...

  • why? this is so useless... wireless charging would be nice if you dont need to actually put a device in a pad!! for that trouble i'll just put it the charger, no? plus you have to put skins and addons to products?

i dont see this having a great sucess... its a pseudo wireless.. although there are no wires.. still needs the contact,i prefer to save 100$ and put it on the regular charger!

  • You Can't charge something wirelessly. Nikola Tesla went mad trying to do such a thing. You just can't get enough voltage and watts pointed at a specific directions, especially if its non guided (which copper and gold etc is). Wireless charging is futuristic.

  • It's official. Wireless charging. And a nice price too!

  • They do...stay tune for more information -Vincent

  • Wow.. If they only had an attachment for regular phones.... I would totally buy one!

  • thats cool

  • thats is cooooooooooool

  • hi there
