However, I believe the government uses pot as a tool to discredit those who oppose their agenda. For example, the counter culture of the 60s greatly opposed government decisions and policies, but rather than addressing their complaints, they just label them as "stoners" who are not to be taken seriously.
Ron Paul believes the Earth is 6000 years old and evolution is a myth. That's not good. However he also believes the war on drugs should end and that is a good thing. Did you know that Britain actually was "forcing" the colonies to grow hemp for them so they could make clothes, food, (not fuel yet), and other things? surprisingly they did not see the potential of this plant and i guess nobody else did because tobacco was worth more and they could make more from growing that instead.
I would go as far to say that if britain during the founders years would've banned the growing of plants, and the distrubution of the plant byproducts..
I believe that the founders would've had an amendment specifically protecting our natural right to grow the stuff.

@newperve Entrapment is a specific charge that implies that the police manipulated a situation so that the suspect had no option except to behave criminally. If a cop walked into the place, said "let me get a dime," and it was sold to him without a prescription, that's not entrapment.

I would go as far to say that if britain during the founders years would've banned the growing of plants, and the distrubution of the plant byproducts..
I believe that the founders would've had an amendment specifically protecting our natural right to grow the stuff.
However, I don't think they forsaw it,as far as I know, no societies before or during their time banned plants..
Though they knew societies that baned guns, and religion, so that was their concern...

@newperve Entrapment is a specific charge that implies that the police manipulated a situation so that the suspect had no option except to behave criminally. If a cop walked into the place, said "let me get a dime," and it was sold to him without a prescription, that's not entrapment.

So sop thinking you proved anything. and the state governmen is allowed to have laws that the federal government opposes and if that happens the state limits the federal governments jurisdiction therefore the DEA is legally only allowed to raid that store if it doesnt infringe on the states laws. The California law overrides the federal law because the state descides weather it wants to ban a substance according to federal law or if it wants to make it legal and control it according to it's own law. Therefore they weren't breaking federal law because the state overrode it. Dibshit.

They certainly don't have the power to interfere with a Federal power that was delegated to the Federal government in the constitution.
