I find a few sentences here contradictory. Both the lyrics are based on her personal experience and then she says fortunately she never lost any loved one. Later she said she wrote them based on her research of those who lost loved one´s. So all is great.... may be she said by mistake that they are based on her personal experiences. It should be her personal perceptions on death based on her research. anyway good luck aruna abrams!
@shucham "I fortunately never knew anybody who died. Um... MOST of my songs have been written from personal experience, and, the fact that I DIDN'T have that to draw from in this case presented a bit of a challenge." From this, Aruna clearly wasn't contradicting herself at all. It's evident that she wanted to make her songs come alive, which is why she felt she needed to do some research to better understand how it would feel to be in someone else's shoes who HAS experienced a loss. Aruna rocks!
ive always knew that song was about losing a loved one
i would listen to the song repeatedly because its so beautiful
its one of those songs where i would find comfort in time of grieving a loved one, it reminds us that even though they are not physically here, they are here in spirit, always with us, always guiding us and to not be afraid
Aruna is one bad ass woman... I saw her with Cynic back in the 90's. Could not believe my eyes/ears when i saw this chick growling
