I hate Apple,

Sony has wider range of consumer products and they have more years of experience with the social aspect. And they respect that more than the apple zombie corporation.

The Walkman put portable music on the map well before the iPod was even thought about, for example.

The new X series is a touchscreen like the iPod touch but features real buttons on the side so you can use it in your pocket.

Sensible design.

I've had my Vaio P for a while and still like it, luckily I have a jacket pocket big enough to fit it without it looking like I have a computer on my person.

I can just surprize people by whipping it out.

Not too excited, especially about the unconventional resolution, and they defend it by showing you how useful it is when opening 2 browsing windows.

Which brings me to my next point, $900 is too expensive for a web browsing laptop. I can easily pick up a netbook and 8x 9-cell batteries, and with ubuntu or win7, can easily pass 48 hours of battery life with less than $900.

For $900, you're paying for aesthetics and the name. Bottom line, not worth it.

48 hours? I find Sony's clients are mostly people who don't care about price, but quality. I think for the price its too much for this gadget.

Whether ppl here understand or not. This is totally worth the price! Dont 'no how much its in Japan but in Canada its 900. High but worthful 'cause it has world's longest lasting "netbook" batteries. 8hours! I'm getting it!

True, it's awesome but I'm going to wait for windows 7 because although i like Vista it's not quite up to running on netbooks.
