  • @Epi6fingers iv seen you on enough videos comparing gibson and epi, u really should fuck off and do some research. Yes gibsons are overpriced, but that doesn't mean there worse quality.

  • You should really work at your fingerpicking-technique. Otherwise you will regret in the future that you got used to this inefficient technique.

  • The chinese guitar luthiers over at Epiphone china smoke the Gibson luthiers by a country mile for shure. Ex Gibson master luthier michael voltzs who has been with Epiphone china since 2001 has made the chinese at EPI some of the best in the intire world!

  • ok2..thanks 4 the info yaa...i will grab soon..just wait 4 the stock only..

  • @streetboyzify welcome, bro

  • TheMarshallFan i think i want buy this model..maybe next month..its good or got problem, like fret buzz or what else..

  • @streetboyzify its okay, not he best of the best but defninitly okay

  • may i know where's it made in??

    sorry my english bad..

  • @streetboyzify epiphones generally are crafted in china

  • Why don't you use a pick ?

  • @TheVanRose why don't you use your eyes? ;) except for the stairway to heaven picking part i use one throughout the whole video ;)

  • @TheMarshallFan I used my eyes , cause if I weren't i haven't seen that you didn't use a pick for the stairway to heaven song . And I know that you used a pick for the other songs but I was referring for the stairway to heaven song initially , and especially for a solo you need to use a pick !

  • @TheVanRose u mad bro? I am fairly sure that I know the times when i used a pick better than you :/ and shame on you if you play the stairway to heaven intro and first verse part with a pick! ;) by the way, there is no solo in this video. just some fragments . and trust me, i know my solo playing, you would know that if you had checked my more recent videos. Bottom line: dont waste your time being an internet warrior !

  • It will always be epiphone for me NEVER GIBSON and I do mean never!

  • Nice guitar, I'm saving up for one. What amp are you using?

  • @UFCGoldZone check my channel or video description for gear questions please. In this video i use a marshall avt valvestate 2000

  • Just got mine yesterday with a free case from digital village it's fantastic and shiny ! :D only £313 it's a plus top too !!

  • Oh my god!! that guitar is just awesome. good selection

  • shit! this guitar ksounds amazig, i'll buy a new guitar, a les paul, bu not too much expensive, and i was thinking in a epiphone standard... after watching this, i'm pretty shure that i'll buy this. Regards from Uruguay and congratulations for your video and your new guitar... sorry if you don't underst<nd me, i speek spanish.

  • @ElDiegoManya1891 thanks for you kind comment :) good luck with your (soon to be) new guitar! :)

  • Oh my god, the guitar sounds amazing ! :)

  • @Sam7695 yup :)

  • @TheMarshallFan pretty good dude, for how long have you been playing?

  • @MrSkinnyWhale back then only two years.

  • Whats the name of the song in 1:06 ??

  • @argelize this is a joke, right ?

  • @TheMarshallFan hahaha sorry my cousin put that question

  • @TheMarshallFan i was about to say ima smack this kid in the face lol love to play this song

  • @argelize your an idiot. look at the bottom corner. or just. . . oy

  • @VindicatorOfThey My cousin wrote that but i know he is an idiot

  • @argelize Stairway to Heaven

  • @argelize it is Stairway to Heaven!!! my favourite solo))

  • @argelize Stairway to heaven of Led Zepellin:)

  • sounds like you have an fender amp but logic tells me you got a marshall cause of your name xd

  • @tijmenhermen haha yeah you can check my gear out on my channel or in the description ;)

  • crotch shot

  • @Georgieisaporgie dont bitch

  • Epiphone is being called today the new Gibson but better. The plain top is a pro quality guitar that gives you that classic les paul tone and feel. Epiphone standard plain top les paul is simply Brilliant!

  • @camburns1 I know this is late but you should buy a cheaper model if you're just learning IMO...because you never know if you will stick twith it or whatnot. The cheaper epiphonese all work great because ive owned ALL of them, literally...

  • @camburns1 look around more theres millions of guitars out there for me i was going to buy this ugly lespaul for 100 dollars but i looked around and saw a lespaul gold top for 500 dollars lol i know it was alot but since i was advanced i bought it... but dont get standard because its more money if it feels good and plays well get it usualy the more money you spend the more quality and reliablity it has so i say standards the way to if i was you

  • hey man what humbuckers are those

  • @camburns1 dont look to much on the price. check for the guitar that fits you best. in general, get the expesive one. sad but true, if it costs more than twice as much you can be sure the quality will be better. but your first guitar has not got to be the most expensive one. i own 5 guitars in various price segments, dont get to stressed out. once you will start playing excessively you will wanna get a new guitar anyways

  • I was wondering I have the same guitar but different finish, and the pickup caps look like someone has been rubbing their fingers all over them. I've tried to wipe the marks off but they're still there. Is this normal or do I need to replace these pickups?

  • just love epiphone, have the same one. but where can I see which year it's form?

  • kk they sounded nice though

  • hey dude what was the first song ur playing in this video the 1 ur strumming

  • @weidner97 just some random improvised chords, sorry dude. go ahend and make a song out of them ;)

  • @TheMarshallFan whay chords are u using

  • @weidner97 sounds like knocking on heaven's door...

  • @d8channel actually it was just an impro of some random chords but you are right, the first ones are g d and c ;)

  • Rock on! Have this guitar and it freaking rules!

  • @VinceyMusic Is this a "pro's" guitar or a "starter" please let me know :) or is it like inbetween?

  • @CheackyLegend122

It's a pretty advanced guitar. If you get a good pair of strings and a good setup (lower the strings ect.) it can be pretty beast. My teacher has 3000 dollar guitars and he says that the Epiphone isn't far of them.

    But you can't beat a Gibson ^^

Check out my channel, i have a bunch of covers and stuff.

  • @VinceyMusic Alright awesome :)

  • Can some 1 give me a name of a cam with good video and audio every time I record my self it sounds bad

iPod touch 4 is wat I use (hd) ya right iPods r not hd

  • @andyaction2679 Nokia N8 Lol

  • tomorrow i will have one 2!!! i cant wait!!!!

    bought one on thomann.be

  • @TheSlashrocker I disagree A LOT. While I may not agree that ESP is the best; their top quality guitars are definitely better than Epiphone's. If your going to say something like that you should have at least have said Gibson since they are the higher class of Epiphone. (Actually Epiphone is the lower class of Gibson but, still).

  • tone and sustain on LP's (the full bodies atleast) is fuckin sick, my epi elite makes a strat sound like its made of plastic <3

  • @TheSlashrocker dont agree, sorry. esp is the best brand available cuttently. its a shame really but its true :(

  • @TheMarshallFan I actually disagree; ESP is definitely not the "best" brand. Quality wise it doesn't beat Gibson, or Fender. Another reason it is not the "best" is because it all depends on personal preference and some people may dislike ESP while other, like yourself, love them. If we are talking bang for your buck they might win however. Really that is in the eye of the beholder and you can't say one company is the "best". Don't mean to rant; great video btw

  • @TheTopWalrus hey, thanks for your comment.

acually you are both right and wrong. gibson USED to be the highest quality and best tone brand but during the financial crisis they were forced to undergo massive economisations which unfortunatley pulled down the procucts quality. i bought a $2500 a year ago. and i returned it because there was a crack in the fretboard and the body had 2 massive structure failures. and no that was not only this specific guitar that sucked. its a shame really.

  • @TheMarshallFan I know that Gibson has definitely declined in quality but, I just never think of ESP as a high quality company. I know they have there 2k and over guitars that are probably amazing but it doesn't have the same reputation as Gibson. Although this doesn't mean they are worse... You do bring an interesting point I hadn't really thought of. I haven't owned a Gibson built in recent years so I guess I can't say. Thanks for the info.

  • @TheTopWalrus your are welcome, i am always happy to have little discussions with other guitar lovers ;) thanks for your support!

  • I got a Special II, I love it. Today I saw the same guitar in a pawn shop in great condition. On Gibson's website it was $953 but @ the pawn shop it was about $350, a GREAT deal. It's surely a beauty, I kinda want it, should I consider?

  • @Studio2770 this epi is a thousand bucks?? holy shit :P

  • @TheMarshallFan Gibson.com is pricy but guitar center has it cheaper, about $500.

  • thinkin about buyin this as a second guitar. unsure because it has 22 frets, but i love the les paul sound and look

  • @Daemonfury1 Buy the LP. Most songs never utilize the 23rd and 24th fret so a 22 fret guitar shouldn't be a deal-breaker.

  • @TheTopWalrus right u are

  • Aboo, voll die Kante!

  • the les paul was first on epiphone and now i no why

  • Wow, maybe is the best guitar to play Gun's roses' songs.

  • hows the sustain on this guitar?

  • @chordize well how does it sound?:S

  • @TheMarshallFan well you arent holding down 1 particular note and letting it ring, so i cant tell if the sustain is long or not

  • dude thank you. i was looking at this guitar and i wanted to see how it sounded and this was the only youtube video that showed it with some crunch. im in a nu-metal kinda band and we do some acoustic stuff and some harder metal. so thanks! def gonna buy this one

  • @thatguitarplayer907 ur welcome, have fun with it :)

  • I'm ordering this exact one today lol (:

  • Is the song you start playing at 0,48 still ''the shape of my heart''?

  • @klaasie50 yeah :)

  • Please, tell me what song you start playing at 0:46? Its awesome!

  • Hey I just got this exact guitar and I'm getting it xmas

  • DUDE WHAT COLOR IS IT ? IM LOOKING FORWARD TO BUY A DESERTBURST PLUS !

  • @hedroxthelegend desert burst i guess

  • @TheMarshallFan i found it ;] it's actually a vintage sunburst ;]

  • @hedroxthelegend hey, i dont think its vintage, because it shines like hell :) normally vintage is less shiny. but maybe theres no longer a finish like this, this guitar is kinda old

  • @hedroxthelegend in this colorway it's great, too:

    thomann.de/de/epiphone_lp_standard_plus_ta_02.htm

  • @hedroxthelegend It's a vintage sunburst m8 i have it too :) Gl ;)

  • i am going to buy this Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus guitar in 2 days..

i really hope u could answer this..

does it have good Clean sound? does it worth the money ?:)

  • hey...I will get one like this... if I told them to remove the pick up covers.. what will be the color of the pickups after????

  • @HutchDano590 usually the pickups are black plastic with silver dots in them.

  • @TheMarshallFan in both of em'??

  • @HutchDano590 sure

  • @HutchDano590 cool

i cant really say anything about the new models, this one is from 2005, the guitars were better back then because the financial crisis hadnt hit gibson/epi back then. now they use cheaper materials to save money, but still the guitar is worth the money!

i played some of these recently, the sound was very good. both, clean and disortion

  • amp?

  • @TheMultiguitar marshall avt 50 valvestate 2000

  • I guess that you're a GN'R Fan

  • @ihmisvinski right you are :P

  • nice! im getting one too. how long have you been playing?

  • @muserocks69 thank you, good choice :) ive been playing for nearly 3 years now

  • 368 in thomann its my next guitar ;D

  • how much what your guitar?

  • @md101skater €290 used

  • 0:00 - 2:27 Clean sound (all pickups)

    2:27 - 4:11 Disortion/Overdrive (all pickups)
