Exactly right, which is why I held onto my Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8 and Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy Chronicles and I still have them in perfect condition. Did i mention that they are all original versions from when they were first released in america. I imagine that if I hold onto these games they will only increase in value and since I got these games when I was 18 I have plenty of time to hold onto them and watch their value increase.

I estimate that my final fantasy games are worth close to 2500 dollars max at this point in time on the collectors market. Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy 7 are just as good games but for different reasons. 7 has the flexible playabillity and more monsters but the bosses are easier to beat than 9 with a not quite as good sountrack as 9. 9 is way more challenging and the soundtrack is better and the summons are better in 9 in my opinion, technically they are called eidolons not summons on 9.

@wateverz666 Chrono Trigger required no grinding to beat the game. As long as you didn't avoid any battle, you'd beat the game without any problem.

As for FF12, well, I can say that it was the most entertaining RPG I've played where 90% of the game is all about finding a rock and a sword.

If by making grinding easy you mean being able to arrange your gambits so that you can charge into a battle and then just walk away from your console for a few minutes... Then yes.

Vaan and Penelo bear a grudge against the empire, Basch, kind of too. Basch also wants to follow Ashe. Ashe wants to restore her homeland. Balthier and Fran aren't as understandable. The first one mentions he's after 'treasure', but I don't see the motives of them for being in the group. The idea is, Dalmasca is in the middle of two empires in conflict, and it's taken over by the empire. Vaan loses his brother, Penelo her parents, Basch his honor, Ashe her kingdom. Do I need to say more?

the problem with FF is that the teams are trying new things and taking FF to other places (like dirge of Cerberus) they are focusing soo much on graphics that they forget the story

and FFX was not just "ok" it was one of the greatest games.. a story like that isn't easy to find

It is later revealed the Occuria had been controlling Ashe with a spectral Rassler to lead her to Nethicite and destroy Archadia, which would lead Ivalice back to the status the Occuria wish it to be at. Ashe doesn't agree with that and instead of destroying Archadia, she decides to kill Vayne alone, and leave Archadia to Larsa's hands.

I quite often have to tag along people I don't really like. Vaan had to do that in the dungeon where they freed Basch. After leaving the dungeon, Basch is able to convince Vaan Reks wasn't killed by him, and made Vaan realise it was all Vayne's plotting (if he didn't think that early it was Vayne he thought it was someone from a high imperial seat)

As for Balthier and Fran, I don't know. They could be bored, after a reward like Han Solo did with Leia in Star Wars, that could fit.

Van is tagging along cuz of Balthier, cuz u know he wants to be a sky pirate and all that, but like i said Balthier had no reason to join, so without him there would be no Van or Panelo, and not only that.. the party wouldn't even have an airship.. so they kinda had to squeeze Balthier in.

Another point is the clothings.. a masochist play boy bunny, a slutty dressed princess and a girl wearing what looks like a swim suit o.O

Yeah Fran is the only nude female in the game. Penelo and Ashe just dress to avoid dehydartion, as Dalmasca is a desert. And now that I look at the version of the game I have, the cover has the logo of Final Fantasy XII with Gabranth posing in the front. Fans dont buy this game because of nudity or stuff like that, the tittle alone 'Final Fantasy XII' tells them it's a good game. But people like me read reviews first, and then decide if it's worth a buy. Well, it was.

Characters are alot more interesting than in X. X wasn't bad tho, it had a good story. What's wrong with all the airships having names of the old summons? I see no problem with it. The summons havent been turned into airships, their names have. I don't like using espers in the game either, I've actually never liked using summons.

There is alot of story in FFXII. It's too hard to explain with this mininum letter count, so I suggest you'll just read the wiki. XII = the best FF with IX. Imo.

I love this game, it's my second favourite FF. FFVII being my favourite, but dang that game is getting over-rated. :/ I mean, even watching the movie, it doesn't feel like I'm watching a sequel of FFVII, I don't know, the movie just hasn't got it's spark, and Square Enix is milking too much of FFVII that it just feel like a side story of FFVII. I don't know, Crisis Core, Advent Children just doesn't have that 'spark'.
