After owning my triumph for 3 weeks I had not once made a GPS connection. I would let the thing sit for like an hour and never a connection. Was about to return the thing when I spent a buck on an app named A GPS Injector and since doing so have had nothing but an almost instantaneous connection. I have no idea what this app does but it seems to have done the trick with my Triumph.

yeah you have to be outside and it also helps if you download the app GPS status & toolbox. Try it out

you need to be outside for GPS to work properly... it connects to a satellite so it needs to be in view of the sky.

Hey hope you can answer this question. How does the screen resolution on the triumph compare to the resolution of the screen on the optimus v? sometimes it is hard to read things on the optimus was wondering if the quality was better on the triumph? Thanks, and nice vid!

@SkidooPro1 The screen resolution is a lot better than the optimus and I completely know what your talking about when you say "hard to read things on the optimus." Although it has better resolution it has more of cooler contrast compared to the optimus' warm contrast. This means the colors have more of a bluish tint as opposed to the red tint on the optimus.

hey, do you have the problem of the phone screen flickering or the camera giving the photos a slight yellow/green tint? i am thinking about getting one of these phones and switching over to VM. but all these stories online are scaring me. thanks!

@firerecruit08 I don't have any issue with mine! No sort of flickering or yellow green tint, just make sure the white balance is on cloudy or daylight and it'll be good. My GPS takes no more than 7 or 8 seconds to find the GPS signal when I'm near windows in my room. As long as you're comfortable with the $299 price tag, go get it and make the switch!

I will be returning mine and wait for the Optimus Black. The GPS is terrible on this device. 299.99 for a flashy display and games. The Optimus is on many carriers, LG must be doing something right.

I was having gps problems also, then i heard about "gpsfix" on the market and that has helped alot. Ps. U should not have to get an app to fix another. Hope they fix it soon

I had GPS and wifi on and got signal in no more than 20 seconds... Lost signal on the way to an interview and that's when it took it forever to link back

haha, dude i woke up this morning waiting till Best Buys in my area opened @ 10am, started calling all of them, 2 told me OUT OF STOCK! one told me ONLY 1 LEFT BUT WE CANNOT HOLD IT FOR YOU! then i called a last one near me and the lady was like OH YES YES! WE HAVE 3 IN STOCK! I CAN HOLD ONE FOR YOU ALL DAY IF YOU WANT! i swear i wanted to kiss her lmao.

@ToshiroFujimoto GPS is free on all Android devices, you just need to have internet 3G or Wifi if your in a Wifi city.

I hope VM will be able to fix that gps problem with either a software update or maybe by fixing their own network. Either way that sucks, it definitely should not take anywhere near that long.
