@Treasurance You need the fix for the pgm drivers and video which makes the game run pretty much like it's supposed to.

@UToobChanul Possibly, but Cave have nobody but themselves to blame by not giving western gamers an easy way to play their games without buying a J360. Due to most shmuppers been purists, cave could easily port their early games to the PC platform and if they made sure it was good lagg free port with one or 2 extra modes it would sell well.

Instead theyve opted to go the iphone route which most shmup fans arnt intrested in.

@TrevHead10 It would be golden to have a real PC port with leaderboards and achievements and Steam bragging rights, lol. While Mame is nice for the preservation and all, the port at least lets us contact Cave and beg for patches/fixes that don't actually have Microsoft rejecting the certifications or forcing people to an eternal wait until a company decides to localise X or Y title... And even then you risk them screwing up with the mechanics/slowdown/etc.

@TrevHead10 maybe a publicity stunt? The games are there, they can tease us, but they're not working. They gain some hype and then... bam, US and EU releases of DaiOuJou Black Label and Ketsui.

@Evrain64 Unfortunatly I doubt it and even though they are popular with western shmuppers I find it highly unlikly we will see any other shmups in the west that isnt Death Smiles and shit like this will damage any chance of it been picked up by publishers if anything

Personally I was hoping we would see DDP DFK brought to the west but considering how much it bombed in Japan I doubt any publishers are going to want to risk it.imo For non J360 ppl its regoin free/ xbla where we will get our fix

Huh? I thought they were already in talks for DFK? I would gladly buy their ports, even with MAME emulation: the added flavor is damn good. Plu, why did DFK bomb in Japan?

The problem is good 'ol pirating Europe, seeing how DS sold in its first US week roughly what it sold in japan alone... a sign that westerners DO need their fix :) And there's always Steam and XBLA, but for full blown releases indie companies and retail discs are the way to go.

@Evrain64 I hope your right over DFK coming to the west (well the UK for me) but I did hear that DFK didnt sell as many copies in Japan as were expected. Maybe the iphone port (i hear the iphone is popular in JPN) canabalised its own sales.

As for pirating imo it all depends on how the PC game is sold and at what price. Something thats relativly cheap on Steam genrally wont be copied as other DLC or retails methods.

@TrevHead10 piracy is useless nowadays. With stuff being dirt cheap on Steam, cheap and in massive quantities on XBLA, ridiculoulsy cheap on TheHut/Zavvi, it's really just a matter of the software house playing it right.

It's just a matter of CAVE learning how to ride the tide, and from what I can see they are learning, plus you have no idea how many people now know what "Hibachi" is :)
