  • Go look up the definition of muscle car. Its not synonymous with sports car, but great verge bud. What mods?

  • I have a 88 c4 and am building it now. I am wondering how much do you have in the turbo kit and how hard was it to install. The Vette sounds great by the way those turbos really wake it up. Thanks

  • wow this exactly how much power and psi i want to run

  • awesome...sounds mean

  • I actually have this same kit on a L98 85 corvette with 5 lbs i put down 398 hp and 487 torque, not sure what else to tell you syco

  • 400 RWHP is no fail. This car puts down roughly 255 RWHP & is now laying down an extra 145 RWHP meaning it will spank a C4 ZR-1, C5 Z06 & C6 corvette for a fraction of the costs & hes only running 5psi of boost. not many cars can make that claim and some of these C4 turbos pump out 650Hp.

  • @bronxboyXXX they already beat a c6 corvette but c6 got more top speed but with that turbo its game over

  • @sycocop1 so how about those guys who have a turbo honda with 150 hp?

  • Loved the sound this car makes..

  • i want to turbo my 89 corvette and i was wondering did that kit fit under the stock hood?

  • Skreenname229, this is not a conventional engine bay turbocharger kit. STS uses a rear mount system. The turbochargers literally replace the mufflers.

A rear mount turbocharger has many advantages to it, which is why this Corvette is producing 400 RWHP using only 5 PSI, which is quite common for these kits.

No high underhood temperatures to deal with, and cool, flowing air from the rear. There's physically more air traveling to the intake at lower pressures, due to lower temperatures.

  • By the way, google STS Turbo, or check out their site if you know the address off hand. You'll be surprised at the prices for a complete universal TT kit. Very affordable.

  • @kcole939 All true, but affordable? Nah. You can get a turbo kit for 1500 bucks for any other car, with intercooler and everything. These guys sell it without intercooler for 4 grand.

  • Yeah, eBay turbo kits, that do not utilize ball bearings. They burn oil like there's no tomorrow, and are only good for a whole 450 Horsepower. I've only seen one eBay turbo kit that was for an SBC, and rated for over 450 HP.

Better to do it once, invest in a quality ball bearing turbo, than a cheapie Chinese knock off.

  • Notice I said "for any other car"...by that I mean the turbo setups for import cars are much cheaper, whether they are already turbo from factory or not.

And without a doubt, buying one of those chinese made turbos is a waste of time and money.

  • Not to be a douchebag, but that is actually incorrect too. Forced induction kits for imports are outrageous. Check out the BMW E46 M3 Level 2 supercharger kit from Active Autowerke. $12,000..

When for that same kit, minus the brand name and it's reputation with BMW, it's worth maybe $3,000. I love European cars, but it's why I still hold onto my old Camaro. Stuff is cheap.

  • LOL dude I know that, I mean for like Japanese cars. Yeah my friend was looking into a supercharger kit for his C280 it was like 8 grand or something.

  • @wildbloodydragon I would disagree. My friend just bought a t3t4 for his 99 prelude and it cost him 6 grand.

  • @weewoodeal Fuck...whole kit right?

  • @wildbloodydragon Yes ... rev hard.... i dont know anything about them but im glad i didit get that bill

  • @weewoodeal Is that with labor? There's a rev hard kit on sale for 97-02 Prelude on turbo-kit,com for $2,900. Why did he pay $6,000 for it? Maybe it's a high end kit or something?

  • @wildbloodydragon LOL i have no idea why... he lives with his parents so he just saves up all his money. He bought it from horsepowerfreaks. stage 2 rev hard

  • @weewoodeal Yeah stage 2 rev hard kit for Prelude 97-01, $3,086 on horsepowerfreaks, com. Still don't get it man.

  • @weewoodeal

dude hp power sells a c4 corvette turbo kit good for 600whp for 6 grand

and or just a procharger for 5 grand

this vette is cheap as fuck

  • @wildbloodydragon

people have it in thier heads that imports are cheap to modify, and the companies know this, so they can make you pay out the ass and you think your getting a pretty good deal...

  • @mageac Could be because you can do so much shit with them. But I dunno. Muscle cars may be money pits but knowing the fact that you have so much headroom for getting more power out of it makes it all worthwhile.

  • @wildbloodydragon depends on your definition of musclecar... yes a classic 1960s rare car will cost a lot... but if you look into the prices of plain jane v6 camaros and old family cars they are quite cheap... slam in a high compression cheap ass 350 and have a 300 hp car for like $2000

  • @mageac Definition of muscle car...any car with a V8 that's got some guts. LT1 Fleetwood and Caprice, Crown Vic...to me they're all lower end modern muscle cars. Camaro Z28 (V6 is no muscle car) or SS, Mustang GT and up...those would be the higher end ones in modern muscle cars. A cheap ass 350 won't put 300hp, at least not with 2 grand. Tranny and other parts, labor, time...you're better off getting an LS1 Camaro for 6 grand.

  • @wildbloodydragon you can build a 300 hp 350 pretty easily these days... hell a local shop rebuilds 350s, with new cams, pistons, machining for $600, they charge the difference for the race parts... better cam high compression pistons, 3 angle valve job, headers, intake etc etc will put a stock old 350 in the 300 hp range with the right person tuning it

  • @mageac Man, where do you live? I'd definitely come to that shop and soup up my Camaro. My local shop just charged $550 for buying and installing a coolant sensor and an EGR. Thankfully I only had to pay $50 of it, but still...

  • @wildbloodydragon its a local machine shop... you have to remove and strip the engine yourself, which takes time and anyone with any kinda skill can do it, thats why they can give such good deals!

its in nova scotia, by the time you get your engine here it wont be worth it lol

  • @mageac lol yeah fuck that...but that's a good deal. Here in Cali the prices (especially labor) are so high you're better off living with stock.

  • @wildbloodydragon yeah you guys have emissions tests as well... we don't... as long as you have it look like all the emissions controls on it your good to go

  • I actually have this kit on my 85 vette, it works wonders right now I'm putting down 501 hp and 604 tq and i'm only on 8 lbs :D

  • is this a stock car with a turbo slapped on or is there more done to engine

  • '95 C4 owner here...does STS have a C4 Corvette kit available yet? I'm assuming the spare tire needs to go bye-bye. Please give more info!!!!!!

  • 400whp in a 6 spd would get you about 11.70's @ 121 in this car and top out over 195mph

  • coming soon on my c5 vette...sik car u got there bro

  • Tasty sounds coming from in there

  • I love my C4, its getting the heads replaced right now and the people in the shop are so slow.

  • sounds really good...almost wish i bought a c4 instead of a c5 z06.....the c4 is so much better quality

  • how much did the kit run you for? ($)

  • I would like to know as well, if you don't mind!!

  • This is ArcticWolf4770-new profile: The kit runs for about $3000
