If this is true which I don't believe it is, then how do you read about Jesus life? Jesus wasn't even in the flesh born yet. For the Old Testament the Orthodox Church uses the Septuagint. For the New Testament the Orthodox Church uses the original Greek as written by the Holy Apostles.
There is no official English translation. I would recommend that you read the scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Fathers, regardless of which translation you use. I would recommend that you do this even if you read the scriptures in the original Greek.

In the extra's section of the DVD, Carroll no only says that the New Testament is the source of Anti-Semitism but must be changed. He also cites 'Nostra Aetate' from the Second Vatican Council in the 19th century that reaffirms that Christians cannot blame the Jews. Carroll should realive that Christians don't blame the Jews, but politically motivated people do.

I thought the Greek Orthodox Church didn't share the rabid anti-Semitism of its Russian counterpart. Guess I was wrong! Mr. Hallford seems to think that Yeshua (He was never called "Jesus" in his lifetime!) converted to Christianity before his crucifixion (if, indeed, such an event took place)! Mr. Hallford, ask Miriam, Yeshua's Jewish mother, how she feels about your criticism of her people!

Is being a grumpy blowhard a special charism of Orthodoxy? Even when the target of Mr. Hallford's tirade is apparently Mr. Carroll, he just can't deny himself an opportunity to continue exagerate and misrepresent the Catholic Church and surely enjoying himself to pieces droning about it. Does somebody need a hug??? It's very sad for Orthodoxy when an obnoxious crank acting as a spokesperson makes it seem that a vocation to insatiable grouching is Orthodoxy's only raison d'etre.

James Carroll also made blunt and explicit statements against Christianity in a video called 'The Protocols of Zion' by Mark Levine.
In the extra's section of the DVD, Carroll no only says that the New Testament is the source of Anti-Semitism but must be changed. He also cites 'Nostra Aetate' from the Second Vatican Council in the 19th century that reaffirms that Christians cannot blame the Jews. Carroll should realive that Christians don't blame the Jews, but politically motivated people do.

Father Deacon has made a good response to Carroll's lies. Mr. Carroll seems to be a self-hating Christian. Very sad and in this day very Politically Correct. True Christians are being marginalized, by Jews, Moslems and Fundamentalist Protestants.
