If Troughton had not pulled off the role of the new Doctor so brilliantly, the series would have went down the tubes forever. Because of him, fans bought the regen. and the series survives to this day.
mccoy4eva it is, it is from the last episode of the 10th planet the introduction of the Cybermen and the last episode featuring the first doctor(failing health had forced the guy playing him to retire).
so far only a few clips and the sound has survived, but if anybody out there has the complete episode, then can ask A LOT of money for it.
I rather dislike the new series music... it rarely needs it, it's used every 5 seconds and begins to get annoying.

the original scene no longer exists, because the BBC has erased almost all records of Doctor Who from 1963 to 1970

The first bit is UNIT's theme; the second is The Doctor's Theme. Both are on the Doctor Who Series 1 and 2 soundtracks.
