Nice try. Slick, but not slick enough. Corporate lobbyists have influence that working folks and poor Americans don't have. If we, the people, had the money that corporate lobbyists bring to the table, we wouldn't waste so much money on a failing corporate healthcare system. Colleges wouldn't cost so damned much. We wouldn't have a crumbling infrastructure and businesses and the wealthy would have to pay the same percentage (or more than) we do in taxes.
But they are too biased. I've personally seen how business lobbyists lie and exaggerate to get more H-1B visa workers, hurting my job. A lawmaker can pick up the phone to ask questions. Why do they need face-to-face shmoozing and campaign donations from them? Separation is good. This vid is probably lobbying for lobbyists, and thus does not describe potential fixes.
