@fezzynips I do not think this song is meant to be purely religious, although it's words suggest that it has something to do with witch burnings.Personally, I would never apply a message like this just to a religion. I think it applies to everything in life; will you be at the bottom of the cliff forever stuck in fear and chained in servitude? Or will you rise to the top of the cliff? To be free in the sunlight bare to your face.

@rellethias I don't really know much about this band. A friend is showing me the songs as a comparison to the music that I listen to, so forgive my ignorance. If Thrice is a Christian band, then they should NOT be religious. Christianity isn't religion. Christ didn't come to make religion. Christ came to fulfill prophecy and to break the chains of religion that the Jewish nation placed upon itself. Religious simply isn't a good choice of word if the band is truly Christian.
