Actually Bobby is pretty good just waiting around and mooching about ..some male gorillas would make them wait untill he has eaten or even use the females to open the pumpkins and then nick the tricks off them..lol
In my primate behavior class a group of foraging females ( part of the alpha's group ) will usually take over resources before that of the alpha. He's just doing his job I'm thinking letting the females get a chance but possibly also there is just a larger coalition of females to the one male. He's gotta wait. He will cause, they're possibly all his reproductive partners, gotta keep them happy. ( depending though on wild vs. captivity)
