  • Makes me wanna ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR, ROAAAAAAARRRRRR, but then my wife just looks weird to me........fck it, ill just do it. ROAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR

  • I am not into "lil brothers"...I could out sing his ass before my throat cancer and probably after...

  • @USgovernmentLies Or just called it what it is. A tribute band. paying tribute to your brother. Is not saying well you know who they are goig into the next song. Must be afraid to call them by thier names. some of the younger crowd might know. This is just Gary and some hired hands. I really wonder who is getting a original member's cut? But the R.R.H.F got it right. Only Gary got a trophy and all the other's still alive but not in the band. The relatives of them no longer withus. MAY THEY RIP

  • GEE LORD ALMIGHTY, why didn't you do your research? this is holy territory....when it come to southerrn rock, Skynyrd is the high priest.....not neseccarily this version of the band, but, ther pickin' is there, not quiet on Stevies' level, but the TRIBUTE is there, kinda/sorta.....I'm a true blue fan.....Stevie rules...

  • such great instrumentals in this live version.... just missing ronnie on vocals. and im sure steve gains could rip some better guitar

  • Great song. Look at the version by Mike Brock, he burns it up as well - from his lap.

  • Hi! I'm trying to find the video of this live version. Can you help me? Thanks

  • man, I miss these guys

  • The sheet music for Billy Powell's "I Know a Little" piano solo can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm.

  • Enough with the photos my ass!!! U had some good ones man@!!

  • great very amazing i love this song and the piano solo =)

  • YEA !!!!!

  • 1 person doesn't know anything.

  • @buccaneers77377 so true...lol

  • did anyone have intro tab????

  • this is from steeltown in 97

  • Comment removed

  • @mjl0002

This is post-crash Skynyrd. This is the live performance of "I Know A Little" in 1997.

  • Best piano solo.Ever!

  • It sounds like there is some confusion about who's playing this. Although most of the pictures in the slideshow show the band before the plane crash, this is the band after the crash, with the youngest Van Zant brother Johnny singing, along with Gary Rossington, Ricky Medlocke (formerly of Blackfoot), Billy Powell, etc. This may be from the Vicous Cycle Tour, which would mean it's Ean Evans on bass.

  • @mjl0002 Sounds very possible, as I didn't do my research when making this video. Too bad.

  • @MarioNintendoh I wanna say the intro was played by hughie? is that accurate?

  • @PresidentJones Again, no clue. x(

  • @PresidentJones lol, that is defintaly after 1977, listen. johnny van zant intro,

  • @mjl0002 This is from the 1998 live album Live from Steel Town. It's Johnny Van Zant, Ricky Medlocke, Huey Thomasson, Gary Rossington, Leon Wilkeson, Billy Powell, Dale Rossington and Carol Chase on backups, and some dude on drums whose name I forgot.

  • @mjl0002 - This is INDEED the NEWER version of the band and appears on the "Lyve - The Vicious Cycle Tour" cd. Lineup: Lead Vocals - Johnny Van Zant; Guitars - Gary Rossington, Hughie Thomasson, Rickey Medlocke (there is an e in his name); Bass - Ean Evans; Piano/Keyboard - Billy Powell; Drums/Percussion - Michael Cartelleone.

Ronnie (to me the greatest lead vocalist and lyricist ever - (yes better than Lennon and Morrison)), was more of a bluesy sound. Johnny's got a harder rock sound

  • @mjl0002 U R right about that - it's from Vicous Cycle Tour. There's a DVD of the concert they did in Nashville. 2003 was the year and Johnny van Zandt kept tellin' the audience that LS performed there back in 1973, so that was 30 years between the gigs. I can for shure recommend U to buy the DVD cause they R smokin' hot! Hughie Thomasson (check him out with his band Outlaws) owns the stage of them three guitarists with his amazing soloing - R.I.P. Hughie!

  • A Skynard cover band... A good one though Blackfoot strikes....again

  • @Hammerhead786 not a cover band just johhny van zant singing cuz ronnie died

  • oh, Christ, why are you referriing to Guitar Hero when this is classic southern rock?

  • @charmingasalways Yeeeeeehaw!

  • this is my favourite Guitar Hero song but free bird is my very favourite

  • that clearly aint ronnie gary allen OR steave OR ed OR leon...........

  • we are all brothers

  • What?

  • @Freebirdhomie66

it's Gary, Rickey, Hughie, Leon, and Donnie

  • who is that at :29

  • Members of the band

  • @Freebirdhomie66

Rickey Medlocke on slide, Hughie Thomasson on clean "Strat" tone

  • For Robin - Happy Birthday Lady!!! ;)

  • which year is this?

  • 1998, I think.

  • great clean strat tone on the lead!

  • man this songs is amazing he is full of felling

  • also one of billy powell's great unrecognized piano solos

  • hell yea

  • no, theyre just from the south

  • wow they really cant keep up to what steve gaines did. I really don't like the new band, especially because there's only one original member. Rickey Medlocke is not an original member...

  • the current line just cant do this like they used to... o well its not even really a skynard song steve gaines wrote this before he was in the band

  • good song

  • PEEEEERFECT SONG!

  • hey, me again....

Which album did this come from. i've got the studio version on the street survivor album but would like to try and get thelive version..

  • i believe this was on the Lynyrd Skynyrd "LYVE" album. I got the DVD, but i think they also came out with an audio CD of the concert.

  • Damn this song is sooooo good. thanks for uploading

  • Why it's a pleasure. :) Thanks for liking!
