  • Hoyt was a friend of our family and he was absolutely wonderful. This version is FAR better than Ringo's. Ringo's doesn't have any personality. :(

  • @MNMoxie I agree 100 percent. Hoyt was a master at his craft, and for a man who was as anti drug as he was to recognize their comedic talent and be able to give C&C a break by featuring them was awesome. Also the Tijuana Brass sound makes the tune. Ringo's version was stripped of that vibe and falls flat in comparison IMHO. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • I had a friend who met Hoyt in Branson Missiouri in the 1980s. My friend say he was the nicest guy he met and never pretended to be important. He would drop by my friends house when he was lonely and ask him out for coffee.
