I admire blue and green eyes. But in all honesty, it looks better on people with fair skin tones, like Caucasians and light skinned Indians. I'm not trying to be racist. Remember that race is subjective and political, especially in America. Mulatto does not necessarily mean one parent pure and the other pure, hence half and half. It also applies to multi- generation Mulattoes mixing with their own which is typical in Latin America, Caribbean and Louisiana to name a few; that's how diff eye colors come into play - having a mix background. The Berbers are not of West African ancestry which most Blacks in the Western hemisphere are descended from and closely resemble. Most East Africans are of Cushite ancestry; Arabic. Although very striking, or to some unusual, it all amounts to how much melanin is in the iris--- very similar, in the simplest of terms, to the different skin colors... Brown eyes are genetically dominant but any race of people can have blue, green, hazel, and even grey eyes. It does not necessarily mean that there was any race mixing at all, period. It is absolutely humanly possible for pure blooded Africans to have these variations in eye color. Get educated.

Eskimos and many northern european have short stocky bodies that retain heat better while some africans tend to have thin bodies to disapate heat faster, mutations often occur that allow people tp survive their climate. So people in north with less sunlight had blue and lighter eyes to see in less light, and near equater had darker eyes that offered more protection against bright sunlight. So a logical reason for both type of eyes and various body types.

@ihatemakeup1 no my dear. Dark shade of skin and eyes comes from amount of pigment, that every person can produce and eyes can be much lighter or darker than skin or hair colour and that's normal. If you have less pigment- your eyes are grey or light blue if you have more they are blue, green, hazel, than brown and even black.

And really, we can put 10 people in a room with brown eyes and come out with ten different shades of brown without having a light brown or hazel in the bunch. From my standpoint as an African-American, I just wish there was less focus on light eyes, light skin, etc and more focus on other things.

Dominant and the other one I forgot but if one is more dominant that the other then both parents will show but to not so can up to a Dom and then be shown. As shown here.

light eye colors stand out more on dark skin color, I have hazel eyes and my skin is white and they don´t stand out at all, only when I get a tan, it sucks!! anyway, is not rare anymore to see dark skin color people with light eye colors, it is very common now :) they are beautiful!!!!!

I admire blue and green eyes. But in all honesty, it looks better on people with fair skin tones, like Caucasians and light skinned Indians. I'm not trying to be racist. It's just that, in my perspective, brown skin doesn't go well with light eyes. Most people with light eyes have these really bright eye colors. I think dimmer light eye colors would contrast better with brown skin but those eyes colors are quite rare.

Remember that race is subjective and political, especially in America. Mulatto does not necessarily mean one parent pure and the other pure, hence half and half. It also applies to multi- generation Mulattoes mixing with their own which is typical in Latin America, Caribbean and Louisiana to name a few; that's how diff eye colors come into play - having a mix background. Mulattoes are not "Black. People can choose to identify as such- think globally and use critical thinking skills. Who cares!

In response to your reply. Yes some Ethiopians, Eritreans have light skin and European features. However, they are a Cushite people and alot are of mixed Semitic ancestry, in Eritrean, along with being Cushite they are of mixed Italian ancestry. There is also other European mixture. They are mainly a Semitic mix, thats way they differ from the Sub-Saharan African which came to the Americas. The ones that resemble Sub-Saharan are the ones on the border of those countries.
