  • Love the blues Brothers <3

  • I DONT THINK THAT'S WILLIE

  • @TALIALBERT It might be Steve Jordan

  • 2:36 what a F*UCK Tap dance??

  • Oh how I wish it was still the late 1970's going on 1985....

  • Watch BookerT and the MGs sing "Green Onions" and then watch them do "Time Is Tight"and then look at this video. Donald Dunn and Steve Cropper are prominent in all three and look athow different they look! Such was the 60s and 70s, The greatest era of Rock/Blues/Soul EVER...

  • @trousertrout55

Green Onions is an INSTRUMENTAL track

  • The movie got me into the brothers in 82 when I was 16. Loved ALL their stuff. Was totally bummed when I found out Belushi was dead and I would never get to experience them live.

  • Actually I think the drummer is Steve Jordan

  • first movie I ever saw on a VCR

  • the very first song the Blues Brothers performed on SNL. I bet Dan and John didn't know how successful the BB would be.

  • last round for AL-KEEY-HALL

  • REALLY?!! 14 douchebags didn't like this?!

  • @Druidici But it hasn't changed in 5 months, so that works.

  • I have NOT even been thought of being conceived and I....LOL!

  • I'm 16 and I also think that they play great music. It's one of my favourite bands.

  • Best Band, best Music, best show since their beginning and far beyond their end

  • I'm still an egg in my mother's womb and I love them!

  • @RickDev15 cool most kidsyour age listen 2 shit

  • Wow!

  • who cares if youre 15 or 78 !

    Just enjoy the song !

  • The funny thing is that john new nothing about the blues, dan had to educate him

  • @RickDev15 same here bro

  • @RickDev15 Im 11 and i love them

  • @Redeadassassin I'm -2 and i love they! i'm the youngest! -.-

  • @rascio88 How would that be possible

  • John and Dan weren't just good performers, they were great performers. Their musicality was legit and they personified so many elements and channeled them through their great comedy chops in such a unique way to create the Blues Brothers. What they did was a routine, but it was one of the rare routines that never gets old and is absolutely timeless.

  • Hey bartender I need an 8 ball!!!

  • Hey Im 48, I think, and you dont know what youve been missing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • grandiiii ahuhauhauahauhauahuahuahuahauha

  • I wish I saw these guys in concert; but, I was only 7. Blues Brothers is still my favorite movie of all time and the music is just as excellent today as back then!

  • I have this album!

  • I'd trade My Wife and two kids if I could go back in time and be at this show. THE BAND ELWOOD, THE BAND !

  • who says jake cant sing hahahahaha

  • I think if I was there at that concert, my heart would have been stabbed so many times viciously by the way Elwood stroked that harmonica and Jake hit "hey!". Man, I'd be long gone dead on the floor. You can't get no better than that once music calls for an ambulance.

  • I love the Blues Brothers :)

I just love everything about them, Elwood (Dan), Jake (John), the other band members, Jake's cartwheel, Elwood playing the harp, their music, their style, the movie(s), just everything and I really wish I had lived at this time :( I would do everything for that, really, everything!

  • wow .......thank you...thank you...thank you for posting this is FANTASTIC

  • I was actually at this concert...they were the opening act for Steve Martins Wild and Crazy Guy tour when he was wearing the whits poly suit and arrow hat .

  • I was actually at this concert...they were the opening act for Steve Martins Wild and Crazy Guy tour when he was wearing the whits poly suit and arrow hat

  • Classic!!!

  • I always get flashbacks to the police crash scene when I see Jake and Elwood

  • elwood is Dan Aykroyd & jake is John Belushi right? & jake & elwood are modeled characters who dan made,is that correct? or there are real jake & elwood?!

  • no truer words have been spoken "most of the music we listen to is computer generated so we dont get to appreciate real music" i salute you Elwood GO BLUES BROTHERS!!!!!!!!iiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!iiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet thanks for getting this up. John is missed. Funny funny guy. And the Blues Bros still sound great. Was it really that long ago..

  • What was the month and day of this performance?

  • jake and the cartwheels while effectively "almost dead" always cracks me up

if you're gonna go...cartwheeling before death by speedball is not a bad final act in my view

  • That was AMAZING!!! TY for posting!!

  • Man, Why couldn't I have been alive to see any of the decent gigs.

  • OUT-FREAKIN'-STANDING!!!!!!!

  • unreal

  • are those the real guys??? :D

  • @POPCORN454545 - Yep, that's the real Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues (AKA John Belushi and Dan Akroyd)

  • I always though Mat Murphy's Guitar sound was thin and tinny, Would have liked a big fat guitar sound for that solo.

  • what a wonderful world it would be if John Belushi, John Candy and Chris Farley did not pass away.

  • How did he do a cartwheel and his hats stay on??

  • @jakeludwig91

How did he do a cartwheel?

  • @royal5th yea and keep his hat on...?

  • R.I.P John Belushi!!!!

  • Which 12 clowns dislike this video - uneductaed morons...

  • @welshmod Justin Beiber fans...Oh and Kesha fans too...losers all...lol

  • Such a great group of players, such great music, so much fun! It's why we do the tribute to them!

  • Dammit Belushi why did you have to die

  • look at that pudgy do a cartwheel! bad ass!

  • gotta love the Amphitheater show.. I like Winterland alot better though- More energy

  • the bag of blow was bigger at winterland

  • The Blues Brothers live forever because of incredible videos like this.

  • @notyoursavior78 damn right xx

  • blues brothers was insane piece of shit...WYKOP KURWA

  • Love this so much! That's why we do a tribute! But what a sound, what great stuff, what a great mission!

  • PLEASE! Does anybody know what is the name of the song that is beeing played while they are speaking?

  • @lisapink09 Can't Turn You Loose. An Otis Redding Tune.

  • @gimmesomelovinband Thank you :-)

  • @lisapink09 You are most welcome! Just keeping the mission that we are on alive! Thank you to you as well!

  • I was brought up on the blues brothers, and it never fails to captivate me even now. Long live the blues brothers!

  • I love Blues brothers I know every word off the album lol cant beat live music

  • i Look like belushi. lol.

  • the Blues Brothers helped me get through the 1980's doing 80 hour work weeks at an aerospace company without losing my mind. Just me and my "Walkman". Hah! Bow Bow Bow Bow.........

  • Ha! They started the air guitar!! =P

  • feel so happy i this on vinyl

  • THE ONE AND ONLY! THE BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUEES BROTHERS!

  • Sure helped us get gigs for many blues bands after they broke that market !!!

  • I listen to The Blues Brothers, and I just find that nothing compares to it. The Blues Brothers just had this sound. Unique, and real. All the music you hear now has been overdubbed, remastered, autotuned and edited way too many times. It just ruins the sound. The Blues Brothers, and other classic bluesmen had a real sound. I'm glad that when Dan Akroyd said "By the year 2006, Blues will exist only in the classic records department of your public library" turned out to be a wrong guess!

  • @KazzRacer Dan and John paid homage to the Blues...their celebrity allowed them this privelege

  • I love the blues brothers band!!!

    je connais tous par coeur!!

ils sont trop de la balle!!!

    Zou

  • Willie Hall is an underrated drummer.

  • i'm 13 and i really like to listen to this kind of music. all of the new kind of ''music'' i crap. not even worth the name 'music' but i never liked that stuff. i only like or really old stuf (rock, blues, and so on) or new stuff but undiscovered, not mainstream and then i mean rock. sometimes even jazz, mostly because i drum and jazz is very difficult :P

  • OMG! 22 yrs ago yet seeing this again, seems like yesterday!

  • I am moving over to this bar RIGHT NOW.

  • dang. ackroyd is a harmonica fiend

  • It was such ashame about John Belushi, Damn you Cathy Smith out of all the drugs a bloody speed ball :(.

  • I WAS THERE!!! IT WAS AWSOME!!!

  • what key harmonica is elwood using?

  • "F"

  • ok thanks man that figures i just bought a "C" and a "Eb" o well i guess i can play flip flop and fly ill need to buy an "F" though

  • God takes all good musicians too soon: John Lennon, John Belushi, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and so on, and so forth... legends tend to die fast :(

  • Rock on.

  • ''I looked at the clock it said half-past one, so I had one more, I looked at the clock and it said half-past four'' Ledgendary :)

  • Time to break out the vinyl...Last time I did that, I had the kids say...What the Hell is that?

  • I love them.

    That's all I can say.

  • I'd really like to see the SNL clip where they sing this

  • I was there for this show..I was working at the Universal Amphitheater..I was head door guy..Plus I got to see them rehearse..It was a coool time!!

  • thats awesome

  • @kevincarpet I had this on the definitive collection c.d. when I was growing up. Begged my best friends dad to let me make a cassette copy of it. I love this band.

  • You mean John? Not "The chubby guy".

    Not from Chicago...

  • John was born IN Chicago and grew up in Wheaton,Illinois....a west suburb of Chicago.Where do you get that he isnt from Chicago?

  • its a pity ,these guys ent into acting ,coz there a brilliant band ,might have saved john ,might not

  • why does he say 1985 if it was performed in 1978?

  • its called HUMOR! hahahahahahaha

  • lol its the way it was my friend..lol

get shit does it every time..

  • I love the intro they use. "Cant turn you loose" is a great song and they do a hard driving funky version, man

  • Ho, hows Elwood on the harp at 1: 50! Classic

  • smooth!!check me out,jail house rock Timmy!!!!

  • *Flips, I meant flips.

  • Ah I was wondering if john Belushi could actually do those splits.

  • Favorited!

  • Now thats what I call Rhythm & Blues _ Music !!!!

  • YEAHH

  • stunning...such energy compared to a few tribute act's vid's i've seen.....

  • love that harmonica!!!!!! xD

  • This is one of THE classic performances of all time !

See the coolest brothers ever enter Universal Amphitheatre, Elwood handcuffed to his bag, Jake swirling the key, opening the handcuffs, Elwood taking out his harmonica and them performing HAY BARTENDER.

    If that ain´t something ... !!!!!!

  • I am happy to find this movie as I have loved their CD for years.

  • A GREAT drinking song!! If only John Belushi had lived....

  • agree - he has such a funny little mouth -like edward g robinson or my granny

  • Man this was a great show, I have the bootleg VHS and the tribute bands today all have great energy, but NOBODY can touch this.. ( and this coming from someone in a tribute...)

  • hey there danyboy's got a good harmonica goin and johnny doing his wheel as if he hadn't any overweight at all

    :-))

  • this band is simply amazing!!

    great harmonica beat by dan,

    R.I.P john belushi

  • Is that Paul Schaeffer on keyboards?

  • yup - he also arranged all the music for he blues brothers

  • tromaroan,

I believe he was the selected keyobard player for the movie, but CBS didn't allow him to play the role. In any case, I really like his replacement too, maybe not so skilled on the keyboard, but great acting. LOL

  • The drums on this song (especially the album version) knock me out. Steve Jordan is absolutely amazing on this song.

  • i met dan aykroyd at garys wine on rte23 in wayne new jersey on saturday the april 23 hes awesome and a really nice guy

  • dan and john awesome ,

  • 1:00 damn sexy song !!

  • I love these guys!!!!!!

  • One of my all time favorite movies!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • their influence still continues to this day. growing up without John Belushi is not cool at all, but I'm glad that he had the opportunity to take something as great as blues music and comedy and liven the music in the young people of this generation. Not all of us listen to rap and hip hop or even rock. I first saw the blues brothers when i was 16 years old when i first picked up my harmonica. life hasn't been the same since then, and thats in a good way.
