  • Vito had AID'S

  • This W.Burroughs is a master touch in The Sopranos...really superlative

  • Thank you for pointing that out Handeif. So on that note the number 3 the third letter of the alphabet is C as in Christ. C as in Charlie (seven letters). Also if the seventh letter is G as in God the eighth letter is H as in Hitler.

  • Such a powerful intro with so much depth into the characters lives and what lies ahead for them. David Chase always did an incredible job emulating dream sequences of the human mind. Carmella's creepy dream, Tony having mistaken identity and seeing the helicopter and having stomach pains when being operated on. This show had very little fiction value. They kept up with current events and made it seem so real. Its what kept us in anticipation week after week.

  • Carmella was so fucking naive, for her to think Andrienne just up and left Chris. She should have least known that she was "whacked" I feel that was a character flaw...

  • @devmonbar

not all true.she had her thoughts.it shows them right in this clip.shes has a crazy hunch, but doesnt even wanna go there, afraid to find out the truth. the writers were quite brilliant, specially using this opening for final season.it makes the black-out ending more acceptable now.

  • @devmonbar, that was the purpose of her character throughout the entire show i think, she was the naive housewife who chose the lifestyle and the materialism over doing the right thing, as opposed to confronting tony's evils she eventually enabled them and allowed him to become the man he became. Throughout all the seasons there are two questions always posed- 1) will Carmela wake up and do the right thing, 2) will Tony ever redeem himself and be good.

  • The Nesquik train's there because we've just seen Janice breast-feeding (new life) whilst the trains are what will kill Bobby (man-child) when he misses the warning phone call and goes into the model shop. What a way to launch the end of a "gangster" show - magnificent.

  • This scene could be a huge exposition as to what happens in the final scene. If Meadow is Khu, the Guardian Angel, it makes perfect sense that she would need to be there for Tony. The guy in the Member's Only jacket is to Tony's right -- or 3 o'clock -- as mentioned by Christopher after he was shot and had a brush with the afterlife. Maybe the 3 o'clock message was meant for Tony as a warning that death will be coming from that position.

  • Does anyone else notice how with the Sopranos there are seven of everything? 7 letters in Soprano, AJ is sitting in a row of 7 students in a classroom. The model train car says Nesquik also seven letters. In the ancient world (BC) everything was based on 7. Seven seas, seven wonders, seven is magic, seventh heaven. In the western word (Christian world) it's more of a base 3. 3 for the trinity. Mind, heart, navel to the knees. In the intro notice how Sunoco gas is 97.9 cents. Coincidence

  • @trailerkingpin Seven is the holy number. It represents the 7th letter of the alphabeth, wich is G, wich stands for God.

  • that was creepy. THE SHADOW, MEMORIES and ade vanishes

  • the western lands

  • y'all are pretty stupid, eh?

  • The Remains

This is a fucking A series

  • Literally the greatest opening in TV history

  • the best opening scene to a series ever, superb quality sopranos

  • i Love this sooo much, but i really dont get what the over voice is talking about

  • @MissBaybz If you read between the lines it explains the whole ending. IMO

  • @handeif totally agree :-)

  • David Chase is a genius. Period.

  • epic start to season 6

  • meadow is sooooooooooo hot

  • Amazing opening to the season. One of the most cinematic bits of TV I've ever seen. I had to replay it several times when I first saw it. A really brave way to start the final season.

  • I totally agree with u! it's amazing!!! and the murder of christopher's girlfriend: one of the most beautiful scene in movies about mafia.

  • I adored this. Beautifully crafted & really touching to see Adriana at the end!

  • great song

  • The way this intro was edited to "Seven Souls" (and the choice to use this song) had me in a trance the first time I saw it.

After having almost 2 years between Seasons 5 and 6, this was such a great way to come back.

  • Not sure this episode indicates anything..except oblivion- the state the characters are all in to a degree.

Example- Carmela wakes up "looking dead" after the dream of meeting Adrianna at her "spec house" that is not built properly (until Tony bribes the inspector to look the other way, so she doesn't go "digging into the past" with a private investigator to find out what happened to Ade)...she forgets all about it then. Tony is busy trying to find lost money that Uncle Jr. buried...pattern?

  • thats how you know Tony dies..

"Number Seven is Seykoo... the remains"

Cue Carmela lying in bed looking terrified.

  • That was such a tease! Now I wanna watch the whole thing, lol.

  • Very moving scene. "I'm worried all the time."

This episode was a shot to the heart. Very emotionally powerful. I remember when it premiered.

  • Meadow Soprano... Wow. Just Wow.

  • lol i wanna get clips from other episodes where cast members look fasinated at her dancing. like Dr. Melfi slowing down her car to watch meadow dance, Aj jerking off in his room to his sister, livia lighting up when she see's her dancing, Tony smiling, and other cst members with fitting expressions! I;m gonna make a video of it evetually but hopefully, i can convert the videos to .gifs and put it on ytmnd!

  • "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

  • love that cameltoe
