  • i like the design but you might want to switch the chain to a thicker gauge and with make the wood beams thicker or change it to a metal pole. i did something similar and the wood broke

  • Tell me you are not a teacher...

  • The beauty with it is it folds away neatly into the garage after the work out as shown in first video.

  • problem is now your backyard looks like shit, great for someone who couldnt afford a stand or find somewhere to hang 1. you just ruined your nice little yard.

  • @psychoburgundy12

I've been using mine for years and it withstands quite heavy punishment. Perhaps I'll invite Carnage to demonstrate (I train in the same gym with him) at some stage and video it.

  • gheettooo shit lol

  • Ok, nvm not an actual anchor I DUMB

  • Where the fuck do i get an anchor O.O lol

  • Didnt I see you on Australias funniest home videos?

  • It's a Punish Heavy Bag - look up "punish fight gear" on Google.

  • what kind of bag is that i want 1

  • Thanks friend, was able to set my bag quite nicely in my backyard! Cheers

  • super deal!!!!

thats what I call good thinking!!! lol

thanks very much for shearing man!

  • Hey, man- props on the inventive solution!

I have a question- does the chain have to be at that angle going behind the stand? I've got a heavy bag anchored in my garage, but my folks are terrified I'll knock it down with how much it makes the garage shake. I could make one of these stands in there, but I don't have that long for the chain to go.

  • Same thing happened to me when I was living with my folks - I nearly demolished their garage. The chain doesn't need to be long at all, but make sure it is well anchored - perhaps using a dynabolt. I'm also about to publish a mod to the connection of the two beams, so stay tuned.

  • Typical downunder expertise, just like NZs number 8 fencing wire! always outside of the box

  • what is your bag filled with kind regards

  • rags

  • Love it. Always inspiring to see someone thinking outside the tin. Loads of cash saved exploiting simple physics. And it takes a bloody wailing too. Cheers mate!

  • thats a pretty cool idea, but that chain looks like some paper clips. but pretty easy and awesome idea.

  • You are the pioneer of this system. You should be given a medal. Thanks for this simple solution.

  • Pretty slick!

  • Bring me Tom Po!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a great idea ! ! !

Thank You for posting on The You Tube ...

  • thats soo worth it know i dont have to buy a expensive ass stand. thank you and good thinking

  • Comment removed

  • you should add some vertical support on the wood..

  • @CrimsonGetsu

No need. The design is based on the same principals as that of a crane.

  • but what if someone didn't have the wall just like yours it will be a problem

thats why i ordered a roof hanger and i have the heavy bag but i only need the spring and 2snap hook chains and i'm ready to roll

    and thanks for the tips

  • see my other video of a freed-standing version... I just attach a joist hanger ($1.60 each) to the end of each beam to allow it to dig into the ground and stop it from moving.

  • great....simple and effective im gonna make one

  • hey there!

just wondering where you bought all of this ? i have been looking for a while now and all bag stands are pretty expensive, did you get your materials from bunnings or something ? cheers for your help and tips

  • @hatfacemcgee

Yes, everything at Bunnings, but the carabiners were too costly to buy at bunnings, - I picked those up from the Reject shop ($1 each).

  • @bestpublished ok cheers again. ill definitely be making one of these when my bag arrives.

  • @bestpublished hey i went to bunnings today, got the wood, and star picket, i was going to get the chain there but all the chain i could see similar to yours was hell expensive, like $10 a meter, you dont remember what type you bought ?

  • @hatfacemcgee $1.20 per meter one, definitely from Bunnings.

  • very good concept but id probably break it

  • amm random question do you live in sri lanka? lol

  • i dont have a garden :(

  • Good idea right there, thanks mate.

  • lol if somebody with a better technique and more power were to hit the bag those wooden supports would snap in half in no time

  • very cool

  • would that do karate

  • @davepivotfan123

Karate - no problem. It's a 6 foot bag and will take any punishment you care to dish out.

  • cant kick this

  • @nanakeyks

    yes, kicks no problem.

  • at 1:30 u can see few centimeters down from his finger the chain is breaked :D

  • @ciaojoki that's grass over the chain if you look carefully.

  • @bestpublished Crap ..yea.. :D:D im blind :D:D:D
