  • A gun?

  • Mag's are crazy fun, but so dangerous :(

a Microwave gun like in the game Soldier of Fortune would be epic :D. but sadly will always be in the realm of Sci-Fi fantasy.

  • @Aussie50 yes unfortunately there is no way to focus the beam perfectly without loosing energy and today's technology is not advanced enough to enable us to build a handheld microwave gun. and i love your videos man, your awesome!

  • @Aussie50 Lol you played soldier of fortune too?

  • @Kutittaa yeh I loved that game when I was growing up, get the shotgun out and blow some arms and legs off :D

  • that was boring

  • No gun...

  • @AnselmoFanZero the horn antenna was not on, anyway this project was abandoned because during testing of the wave guide it heated my hand and just the weird feeling made me not want to complete such a terrible device...

  • @iminyourbasement

    I meant: Its not a GUN :)

    Handheld...portable....

Even with horn antenna it would suck. Wont work on a big distance...

  • @AnselmoFanZero you are correct, the beam spreads out like a flashlight at a 30 degree angle. at 10 feet it could heat you uncomfortably. and at 20 or so it would be hard to notice.

  • @iminyourbasement you would need an infinitely wide horn to make it a perfect beam. and beam power decreases as the antenna gets larger.

  • @iminyourbasement

Actually a PERFECT beam would have a diameter of 30 or more inches :)

You cant form a "laser-like" beam of microwaves at that frequency.

  • @AnselmoFanZero were did you hear this from?

  • @iminyourbasement

    Its physics :)

Wavelength detemines the beam diameter of a straight beam...

  • That is one creepy sound! (I am an electrician so sounds like that make my hair stand up!)

  • @taofledermaus yeah i didnt know how powerfull it was until after the fact. it could have fried my camera. the noise is interference it is kinda creepy. it works on half rectified 2,100 volts at 750 milliamps, allot of power. draws 20 or so amps from the outlet, im suprised it did not trip the breaker.
