One of the few animals that "looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but isn't really a duck".
They have the appearance, teeth and digestive system of a carnivore, but they don't and wouldn't eat meat if given the opportunity. They are more closely related to the racoon family, only they are strict vegetarians with a "strong" preferance for bamboo.
Like the cheetah, this animal walks on an evolutionary knife edge. It should've been gone, but somehow it's here.

I live in Northern VA and had the opportunity to see Tai Shan at the zoo. He's the zoo's biggest attraction and it's gonna suck for them now that he'll be gone and attendance will decline.
