On the Single Core 1.6 Atom, you can goto 1.8 on the stock voltage, 100% stable. It's not mean't for much. But I don't think the manufactures will let you, canse most companies liek ASUS, MSI, ACER all have very limited BIOS settings.
But if the BIOS lets you, then you can get to 1.8 on stock voltage 100% stable.

Actually, there are Atom dies in wafer - the reason you can't see it at the angle, is because they're all made with 45 Nanometer transistor geometry size (Yes, a 45nm Hi-K process).
ARM was good, I made strongarm processors along with the Alpha for years when I worked at DEC and again at Intel, Yes Intel made ARM chips for several years. The new Atoms seem to be more advanced from what I have read, It can use full versions of Vista and XP and still uses really low power.
