I like this version it's got the classic 90's rock feel to it something that Hanz Zimmer is very good even though he did not compose it i think he would be very good at it.
That's a pretty good remix of that song. It's the best one I've heard yet.
Seeing MG 2 in the late 90's would have been interesting with music like this. I wonder how it would have sold. If it was on the Sega CD I'd say not too well at all. I might have bought it if I had one.
I can imagine if that game was re-released on PC Engine CD/Sega CD back in the day like Snatcher did, bet the intro would sound something like this :D
I could somehow even imagine a tune like this make it into today's games. Electronic music seems a bit underappreciated with the epic orchestral OST's of today.
Great Tune!!!

Doesn't matter if it's a revised version or the original, they need to use this song if a movie adaptation of metal gear 2 is ever made (unlikely)

wow, this sounds alot like an ost track from Snatcher.

The Classic 90's Rock action movie style of music, where does Nirvana come into the picture?

@navylaks2 The integral version(on the right) sounds more like what you described.

Very nice, would have been better with more rocking out on the electric guitar at the end though....

This remix rocks, probably one of the best realizations of an 8-bit video game tune I've heard in a long time.

*All* Wolf-remixes are tracked. Old ones in Impulse Tracker, more recent ones in reViSiT.

I found it interesting how all of the plotlines in mgs were based on real orginizations, DARPA for example/

Yea world like MGS would be full of Nukes and a TERRORIST PRESIDENT i don't want that.
samejamesbond 3 years ago 3
In that case, we live in an MGS world...
oldskoolgamertje 3 years ago 7
it already has that, nukes and a terrorist president of outer heaven.

i wish the world was like in Metal Gear Solid, i wish there was a man like Big boss, who made a nation for soldiers and all that...
a dictator? maybe, a genius? perhaps, but at least he were loyal to himself and what he believed in..
