This is the best Megaman game on the Gameboy. I think that's because they created original Robot Masters and stages for this game instead of converting existing ones from the NES to Gameboy. Because of that, the stages and foes all look awesome. The converted graphics of Megaman GB 1-4 doesn't look well to me.
Yes, not only that but they added a variation on the megabuster formula. if the Megaman franchise was more respected each game would be as different from the past one as this one was to the rest of the games in the classic series. I'm still skeptic about MM9
