Amazing Dog:) My family had one for 17 full years, she unfortunatly passed a coupple months ago. But while having her she was the best dog you could ask for, well to have a dog like this you need to know, they are VERY hyper dogs who need attention and lots of love:) I miss our dog Keya but it wamazing having her while we did.

That was one of the many reasons we decided on the American Eskimo Dog. They live a very long time compared to other breeds.

When German immigrants came to America they brought their German Spitz with them. They grew in popularity among traveling circus' where puppies were sold. Sometime during the First World War their name in America was changed due to the feelings at the time.

I have always had Eskies for my pets and they are wonderful. My Nikki turns 14 on June 11 and she is a wonderful dog. She rules this house! These dogs are very intelligent and wonderful companions. All of the kids and neighbors love her and she stops to visit everyone when we go out on our walks.

I have a Husky but some day I want one of these. Are they hyper? My 5 yr old husky is downright lazy and i really like that so I was wondering how active are these dogs?

Hi there, These dogs have great stamina, what I mean by that is we can tire them out on a 6mile fast bike ride, or go all day hiking in the woods. We have one that loves to swim and the other would just like to sit on the shore. They are great with other animal and obey commands when we are on horseback. Awesome with well behaved children.

What incredibly cute puppies! I have had Eskies for over 20 years, and they are my favorite breed. I have rescued 2 of them over the last 14 years, and I wish I could have more, but I rent, and only allowed 1 dog for now. Hope that will change, it's more fun to have 2 or more dogs.

Yeah I know, we farm-name all our pups Inuit names: Desna, Quannik, Miki... however the registries should be contacted about that...they do eat raw meat. LOL. :)

We're not professional breeders. We are however; on our second litter of puppies in as many years. We just have the male and female but no breeding facility.

These are max of 14" at the shoulder and 27 pounds and under, on the small end of the Mittelspitz or Medium/Standard Spitz. I just love how compact and robust they are! :)
