Do not buy any Voodoo Lab pedal!! The on/off switch will let you down pretty soon..
I've owned three and sold two and the Tremolo will be the last one to be sold, because the switch broke down as well. It has cost me alot af money. Thank you Voodoo Lab!!!
Great sounding....like all Voodoo Lab pedals. I have a early-made Tremodillo, probably built by the man--Cesar Diaz himself. It's very Fender Blackface Trem circuit sounding. But everyone has a favorite flavor!
Hi, can anyone help me here. I have purchased a few of these pedals and all of them sound absolutely filth. but in every demo its just what im looking for and the reviews are great. Iv got a Les Paul and an ok amp but its not valve. I want to buy this, because of these demos. I also from Australia, could the reason for these sounding so bad be the AU power? I also cant chain the power for my voodoo lab's because the second pedal in the line will loose power. its a quality power supply to
@stonerrockMP Well, the signal would weaken with each pedal it goes through, best way to deal with that is to just crank up the volume. As for the pedals sounding bad, well, you just gotta play around and find what sounds right, generally what it's missing is the guitars actual tone. Try altering the treble and bass on your guitar, find out what suits the pedal.
Usually it comes down to the fact that the lower priced multieffects pedals are far from good and even the pricier and better ones feature a lot of effects you don't need. This means it's cheaper to buy the single effects you need instead of a multieffect with a bunch of stuff you never use. Also many single pedals have a very personal sound that the multieffects can't accurately emulate.
@FTheUsernames So we go on the multieffects vs. pedals debate, right? Well, I have a Zoom FXpedal that did cost no more than 200E and it sounds great! You have 100% control over the effect and because you can have 9 effects the same time, you can tweak them till you get the perfect sound. With a stomp, you plug it you play it, it sounds good. With a FX you can go deeper if you have creativity and pacience. But most people just wana rock and be snobs so...
@FTheUsernames I couldn't come up with a better explanation or recommendation. This is exactly how it goes and after years of frustration caused by feature-laden, but nevertheless mediocre digital multieffects units I have finally my peace of guitar mind with a bunch of high-class analog pedals which I control through a switcher/looper. And the icing on the cake: I got more money in when selling all the things I no longer needed or wanted. Better sound and even some pocket money ... thumbs up!
pretty much what FTheUsernames says, the multieffects pedals are just lower quality. you have less control. that doesnt mean they're debunked completely - they can be very useful in live situations too.
I have a digitech GNX2 which I'd like to think is a pretty decent multi fx unit. The sounds I get out of it SUCK compared to my almost all analog pedal board through a epi valve jr. Digital FX don't sound as awesome as good stomp boxes. And all they do is emulate the good pedals out there. I'd rather have the real deal. The only good digital pedals would be certain reverbs and delays. The boss giga delay is incredibly versatile and sounds amazing, and I love the eh holy grail...
because you get more control over your sound if you buy the effect individually, at the cost of convenience. also, distortions in multi-effects units are usually not very good, because digital distortion doesn't sound all that great.
i've got a modded CS-2 > modded tube screamer > Keeley Time Machine Boost, Whipple modded wah > ibanez DML > eventide timefactor > RV-5. I'm looking at trems at the moment, and I like the fact that if I want to change something i don't have to trash everything.
@branimirs I totally get you... but to be honest, multieffects are easier to use for experimental things in a live situation. The problem with a processor is that you have to actually KNOW what you're doing, whereas with individual pedals, analogue or digital, you're free to turn nobs until something catches your ear.
Don't get me wrong, stompboxes look and sound great, but for me a multieffects is a lot more convenient for my situation. It's how u play that matters in the end.
@Jeradman51 Because no two effects are created equal. One chorus sounds different from another chorus. If you get into multi FX units then they usually sound pretty generic. With individual pedals you can mix and match until you find an individual effect you like the sound of. And you can match them to other effects or amps. If you know what you're doing, you can get some pretty sweet sounds from multi FX units though, so they should just be discounted...
dude did Jorma Kaukonene from Jefferson Airplane or the guy from Quicksilver Messanger Service use a tremolo pedal?alot of psychedelic guitarists made that very vibrato sound alot.i tried it w/slight whammy bar and it sounded right, but my friend said it could be a tremolo pedal.
Jorma and the QMS dude probably used the tremolo on their amps, if they used it at all. Remember, the first thing the dude says in the video is that the pedal simulates the tremolo from a vintage tube amp.
Tremster is definatley better than this piece of rubbish, but even better is the Fulltone Supa-Trem. Best sounding trem pedal ever, and it costs about the same as the Tremster ($200). I wouldn't worry about versatility with the supa-trem, just watch the demo for it.
@tralfamadorian42 I think you mean the best use of the "tremolo arm"... which is vibrato. He uses tremolo in Green Hornet.

I couldn't see myself using a multieffects pedal. For example, I wanna
screw around and create weird &
psychedelic sounds.
So I turn on a few pedals,
strike a chord/note and start
twisting and turning the knobs. And it sounds crazy. Basicly it's abou having absolute control over the sound.
Because everything's there, it's not in a
box with a few buttons. And fuck me if it's not more cool, to have few pedals, different shapes & sizes. :D YEAH!!
