  • @tralfamadorian42 I think you mean the best use of the "tremolo arm"... which is vibrato. He uses tremolo in Green Hornet.

  • Switches are cheap to fix ya know. Just saying

  • Do not buy any Voodoo Lab pedal!! The on/off switch will let you down pretty soon..

I've owned three and sold two and the Tremolo will be the last one to be sold, because the switch broke down as well. It has cost me alot af money. Thank you Voodoo Lab!!!

  • @Guitasteef I believe you need to change your way of steping , or maybe do a diet, hahaha

  • gimme shelter!

  • fun pedal, but practically useless

  • @FrancescoSlash95 It's not useless.

  • @FrancescoSlash95 How can you say it's useless? Andy even played some songs with it. Did you not hear Gimme Shelter at the beginning?

  • @FrancescoSlash95 how is it useless??

  • @FrancescoSlash95 check out Link Wray's "rumble '69" for the best use of tremolo ever. Imo.

  • @tralfamadorian42 link wray IS tremolo

  • @FrancescoSlash95 pfff idiot....

  • love the demo Andy. can anyone tell me if this is analog or digital?

  • @cheesedude5050 analog

  • @cheesedude5050

Analog. it uses lightbulb and photocells in circuit. I think Voodoo Labs only do analog effects.

  • nice Rolling Stones action in the intro. haha

  • haha

  • can you do some dimebag stuff with this

  • Anyone know how big this thing is? (inches)

  • @brunskies92 round 8 ;)

  • 4:28 is so the chorus of The Wanton Song by Zeppelin

  • I almost thought those shit at the starting was you tube link boxes...

  • Every time I listen some tremolo pedal I remember Kill Bill

  • Great sounding....like all Voodoo Lab pedals. I have a early-made Tremodillo, probably built by the man--Cesar Diaz himself. It's very Fender Blackface Trem circuit sounding. But everyone has a favorite flavor!

  • I'm gonna listen to The Smiths now.

  • My whole body was wobbling after this demo...

  • What is the song before the pedal came on ? I almost jizzed at it :) ( 0:00 - 0:06 )

  • @chazglaz123 : Gimme Shelter ;)

  • @chazglaz123 SAME! i have no idea, but it is fantastic.

  • @chazglaz123 Gimme Shelter by the rolling stones

  • @chazglaz123 its an original by pgs. after that its gimmie shelter

  • awesome sound

  • this tremolo sounds like the univibe...

  • Does the slope knob mix between a triangle and square waveforms? Or something different?

  • what for is it good dudes?! i dont udnerstand...

  • @Xpert9H6 what do you mean? its a tremolo pedal, it's good for tremolo

  • @Xpert9H6 have you not heard a song with tremolo in it?

  • @Xpert9H6 Noob

  • The switch on my last two Voodoo Lab pedals crapped out within a year of purchase. Would not recommend and definitely won't buy another one.

  • Hi, can anyone help me here. I have purchased a few of these pedals and all of them sound absolutely filth. but in every demo its just what im looking for and the reviews are great. Iv got a Les Paul and an ok amp but its not valve. I want to buy this, because of these demos. I also from Australia, could the reason for these sounding so bad be the AU power? I also cant chain the power for my voodoo lab's because the second pedal in the line will loose power. its a quality power supply to

  • @stonerrockMP Well, the signal would weaken with each pedal it goes through, best way to deal with that is to just crank up the volume. As for the pedals sounding bad, well, you just gotta play around and find what sounds right, generally what it's missing is the guitars actual tone. Try altering the treble and bass on your guitar, find out what suits the pedal.

  • andy's favorite settings are always subtle

  • gimme shelter at beginning such a righteous rift

  • The whole time I was watching this I just kept thinking "C'mon! Play The Smiths! Play it!"

  • Can somebody answer this? Why don't people use multieffects pedals?

  • Usually it comes down to the fact that the lower priced multieffects pedals are far from good and even the pricier and better ones feature a lot of effects you don't need. This means it's cheaper to buy the single effects you need instead of a multieffect with a bunch of stuff you never use. Also many single pedals have a very personal sound that the multieffects can't accurately emulate.

  • @FTheUsernames So we go on the multieffects vs. pedals debate, right? Well, I have a Zoom FXpedal that did cost no more than 200E and it sounds great! You have 100% control over the effect and because you can have 9 effects the same time, you can tweak them till you get the perfect sound. With a stomp, you plug it you play it, it sounds good. With a FX you can go deeper if you have creativity and pacience. But most people just wana rock and be snobs so...

  • @FTheUsernames

    no shit sherlock

  • @FTheUsernames I couldn't come up with a better explanation or recommendation. This is exactly how it goes and after years of frustration caused by feature-laden, but nevertheless mediocre digital multieffects units I have finally my peace of guitar mind with a bunch of high-class analog pedals which I control through a switcher/looper. And the icing on the cake: I got more money in when selling all the things I no longer needed or wanted. Better sound and even some pocket money ... thumbs up!

  • cause they suck vs pedals

  • @Jeradman51

pretty much what FTheUsernames says, the multieffects pedals are just lower quality. you have less control. that doesnt mean they're debunked completely - they can be very useful in live situations too.

  • Because theyre digital shit!

i hate digital effects! its the truth! and dont come like "i use a multieffect pedal i cant hear anything diffferent!" its crappy

  • I have a digitech GNX2 which I'd like to think is a pretty decent multi fx unit. The sounds I get out of it SUCK compared to my almost all analog pedal board through a epi valve jr. Digital FX don't sound as awesome as good stomp boxes. And all they do is emulate the good pedals out there. I'd rather have the real deal. The only good digital pedals would be certain reverbs and delays. The boss giga delay is incredibly versatile and sounds amazing, and I love the eh holy grail...

  • because you get more control over your sound if you buy the effect individually, at the cost of convenience. also, distortions in multi-effects units are usually not very good, because digital distortion doesn't sound all that great.

i've got a modded CS-2 > modded tube screamer > Keeley Time Machine Boost, Whipple modded wah > ibanez DML > eventide timefactor > RV-5. I'm looking at trems at the moment, and I like the fact that if I want to change something i don't have to trash everything.

  • @Jeradman51

I couldn't see myself using a multieffects pedal. For example, I wanna

screw around and create weird &

    psychedelic sounds.

So I turn on a few pedals,

    strike a chord/note and start

twisting and turning the knobs. And it sounds crazy. Basicly it's abou having absolute control over the sound.

    Because everything's there, it's not in a

box with a few buttons. And fuck me if it's not more cool, to have few pedals, different shapes & sizes. :D YEAH!!

  • @branimirs I totally get you... but to be honest, multieffects are easier to use for experimental things in a live situation. The problem with a processor is that you have to actually KNOW what you're doing, whereas with individual pedals, analogue or digital, you're free to turn nobs until something catches your ear.

Don't get me wrong, stompboxes look and sound great, but for me a multieffects is a lot more convenient for my situation. It's how u play that matters in the end.

  • @Jeradman51 they suck out all the tone. and the fx are usually really cheesy.

  • @Jeradman51 Because no two effects are created equal. One chorus sounds different from another chorus. If you get into multi FX units then they usually sound pretty generic. With individual pedals you can mix and match until you find an individual effect you like the sound of. And you can match them to other effects or amps. If you know what you're doing, you can get some pretty sweet sounds from multi FX units though, so they should just be discounted...

  • almighty dean, it does i just got it in the mail and that was the first thing i did haha def has that on/off sound

  • I don't think this pedal goes all the way to a square wave, like pure on/off. That sucks...

  • rolling stones - gimme shelter?

  • It's just a shot away!

  • 3.55 how soon is now!!!!

  • Gimme Shelter by the Stones.

  • What's the song that plays before the demo?

  • I seen youtube demos with Les Paul with this pedal and it sounds better.

The Stratocaster just doesn't sound that good.

  • nice!

  • what do you think i should buy?

    this

    or the fulltone supa trem?

  • Fulltone Definitely!! Its sounds a lot more natural than the voodoo lab!

  • id get a fulltone...but the Exar tremolo sounds good too.

  • More natural? I don't understand how that can be said of a tremolo. It's a volume modulation. It sounds like whatever you use it with.

  • dude did Jorma Kaukonene from Jefferson Airplane or the guy from Quicksilver Messanger Service use a tremolo pedal?alot of psychedelic guitarists made that very vibrato sound alot.i tried it w/slight whammy bar and it sounded right, but my friend said it could be a tremolo pedal.

  • As fgghfvv mentioned, it could be an analog chorus with the speed all the way up.

  • Jorma and the QMS dude probably used the tremolo on their amps, if they used it at all. Remember, the first thing the dude says in the video is that the pedal simulates the tremolo from a vintage tube amp.

  • can u get the sound so that the pedal is making a on and off killswitch sound?

  • 0:04 i have that guitar

  • thats a les paul isn't it?

  • Maybe a Strat-shaped one with three single coils..?

  • hahaha. well played, sir.

  • doesnt even sound like a les paul.... its unmistakably a strat

  • just gimme shelter!!!!

  • Which is better? This one or the Trex tremster? The tremster seems to sound better but this one comes across as more versatile?

  • Tremster is definatley better than this piece of rubbish, but even better is the Fulltone Supa-Trem. Best sounding trem pedal ever, and it costs about the same as the Tremster ($200). I wouldn't worry about versatility with the supa-trem, just watch the demo for it.

  • i have the slash sig first shown

  • i want one that sounds liek im shaking the whammy bar

  • lmao

  • The whammy digitech pedal?

  • nah the digitech whammy isn't tremolo, its harmony and a pitch shifter

  • try looking for a vibrato pedal or a chorus with the speed all the way up and the width/depth rolled off a bit.

  • The first riff at the very beginning sounds A LOT like the song from School of Rock. Teacher's Pet.

  • its gimme shelter - Rolling Stones

  • I think the Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter is the king of tremolo pedals, but this one sounds nice too.

  • I think the Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter is the king of Tremolo pedals, but this one sounds nice too.

  • nice tone from that pedal. In my opinion I prefer a fulltone supra-trem tremolo. but good luck getting that one

  • this thing cuts. i'm tied between this and the catalinbread tremolo.

  • This pedal also makes an EXCELLENT clean boost if you have everything at zero &just use the volume knob to adjust the amount of boost. Try it out!

  • you are absolutely right. i was quite surprised when i found it out. indeed excellent.

  • Nice demo. Thanks a lot!
