if you don't think sigur ros goes well with anything visually depicting opiate use, you've never used. their music sounds like what it feels like. the rush of euphoria and warm OK feeling that hugs your body and soul.

for the record...as awesome as that may sound, don't even try. not worth it. so so so so so not worth it... :/

actually i disagree, think it looks pretty good, he did well in chosing the slower scenes from the film, arguably the more moving ones, and in my humble opinion it does fit together, quite well infact :) it portrays it in a more poetic manner. Just my input

well made video but i agree that the music seems a very strange choice for the video. it slightly disturbs me that people actually think that the two combine well...the track is meant to be uplifting and celebratory of life, when the film trainspotting is anything but-its dirty, seedy and depressing (albeit a very good film) just doesnt work for me.

Dammit, my post hasent come up. Anyway it was all about how I think the film and song fit well, as they are both about the deconstruction of personality and ego (which can be either good or bad) and then a postive renewal of yourself- expressed best in trainspotting when Renton (Ewan) walks away at the end of the film.

i agree with brightonstudent. i love both this song and the movie, but they are not well suited for each other. hoppipolla is too uplifting and cheery for a movie about drug use.

I dont think a film about heroin, and a song about the hapiness of life (hopping in puddles) go together well. Good film, and great song. But there are better suited songs, even better suited sigur ros songs for this film.
