@emncaity I don't have patience with those people though. Those kids were not "scum". They had issues that weren't dealt with and it led to an entirely preventable and tragic incident. These horrible events aren't born out of nothing. I understand people's anger, and I think that mainly stems from misunderstanding rather than malice, but marginalising people is only going to further contribute to this kind of thing. They were victims. They were the original victims, if you will.

If my child were killed in said manner, Yes, it would be hard to pray, but in praying for the murderer, I receive a sense of innerpeace in my loss. I am no longer consumed by the action. What good would it do the murderer for me not to? This is from a friend who lost a nephew from a drunk driver. She forgave and prayed, she has peace.
