You need a life, really, ubuntu is by far NOT the best linux there is. In my humble opinion, gentoo is the absolute best, you compile absolutely everything from source, it's very time consuming, but at the end, you get a completely custom computer designed for you, and you only, it will never have any glitches because of how it's designed, and it's a masterpiece. If you can't get any good reasons behind your dislike for linux, then just get out of here.

Your average user isn't going to do Linux, must less Gentoo. Who the fuck other than a few nerds wants to compile everything from source? Who gives a shit, really? There's nothing wrong with binary, and in the end it's a LOT easier.

I had Mint running for awhile and most of the apps, including KDE 4 sucked ass. Buggy as hell and not very user friendly to boot.

Face it, the best apps are on windows. That's where the money is, and free software doesn't even come close in quality.

That's where you're wrong. Quality is very crisp here in linux, and I for one, have not had any bugs, I use GNOME. Why compile everything from source? It checks for the best configuration for your system, sure, binary is MUCH faster and better for everyday use. But in reality if you want a stable system, compile from source. I will agree though, that the money is with microsoft, they own most of the market share. But you can't compare quality with quantity, And if you want to argue. Do it right.
