Scary stuff! I suffer from this also. I have a few :( Did it ever come back? I heard if they are removed they grow back larger, is this true? This is the reason I haven't had surgery yet!!
They may come again, but it's not usual. You remove them when they cause problems with pressure on nerves or vessels, or they hurt (eg on your back) or hinder movements. Or for cosmetic reasons.
