She is going to feel sluggish because that is what going off sugar does. I eat a lot of sugar and I know how I feel when I eat less. Not as much energy and you even get a bit depressed. You miss the sugar. I am not mad at the owners. I'd like to see them be more determined. It won't be easy.
The more I watch this the more I get pissed off at these 2 people. I hope Jessica is doing ok. A friend of mine had a dog that people would feed human food to all the time. It got to the point where the dog wouldn't eat it's dog food and only human food, which caused a ton of problems. They had to wean it off human food and it starved itself to the point that you could see it's ribs. Thankfully the dog was ok in the end, gained back it's weight and is still alive today at the ripe old age of 15!
