haha fisher are shit what a load of shit it says tape when the disply says phono you dum bastard take it to the bin and put it in it and that song is wak kind regard steve
If you know anything, there's no "tape" input. You turn on the "tape monitor" switch. It doesn't matter what other source is on. Learn to spell and write sentences that make sense.
The receiver is an Onkyo. Sdh483 is correct; most receivers and preamps have a "tape monitor".
Many receivers and preamps will continue to display what input it's set at even with the tape monitor engaged.
Reason: you may be recording what's playing on PHONO and you wish to use the tape monitor to check the recording's progress *without interrupting the recording.* This is especially useful if you have a 3 head deck as you can play what you've just recorded without stopping.
Fisher ST-843A - I am in love with them. Just acquired this Infinity SM 152 which will go with my vintage SX-850 and PL-55X - will post as soon as my receiver comes in from the shop (tune up). Thank you.
Ahhhh... I miss the soft sound of pre-recorded Dolby cassettes... Some 90's sets sounded great, but nowadays most are crap...
Congratulations on your set!!!!

@Watcher3223 Do you think I can connect my PS3 to that Onyko receiver?

@b34ntown4life
Yes, either through analog stereo out or digitally using a TOSLink optical cable for stereo and multichannel digital surround.

@Watcher3223 A normal digital optical cable won't work?
b34ntown4life 1 year ago
@b34ntown4life
TOSLink (Toshiba Link) is the trade name for consumer optical cable that's typically in use with home theater setups.
In short, it is the normal digital optical cable.

You should have closed the shade behind you before you took the video.
