hard to compare eras. i dont think gretzkey's and lemieux's stats are touchable. crosby and ovechkin are great players but i think crosby is probably the closest. the way he plays in terms of passing and scoring is alot more similar than ovechkin. ovechkin is more of a pavel bure style. great vid.

Everybody else at that time was playing with the same conditions that Gretzky was but he was the only one who scored 200 points in a season (4 times!), he was the only one who scored 92 goals in a season, he was the only one who managed to put up so many assists in his career that he would be the all time leading scorer even if he never scored a single goal in his career... but he also has the most goals ever.
