Well, without shooting down your arguement. It depends who he fights and how much they know. Speaking from Karate martial arts knowledge right now. Boxers have weak legs. low kicks will mess up their foot work something terrible. And the boxers guard affects their peripheral vision, round kicks will blindside them. Also, the use of eye strikes, throat shots, and kicks to the knee cap will quickly decide who wins. Power dominates in ametuar matches. But knowledge is decisive.

@ColRaze modern boxing is just a sport, but is derived from european combat styles. wrestling and boxing go hand in hand, really they are both part of an all encompassing MA that goes back thousands of years (pankration anyone?) and years ago boxers would train in wrestling for conditioning. Jack Dempsey and other boxers of his time were really MMAs , and before rules were modernized, kicking, knees, elbows, takedowns, clinch striking etc. were all allowed. they really were true martial artists

Oh, i have no issue calling them true martial artist's. Jack Dempsey to me was the only person who had flair in boxing. And i also do not disagree with drawing techniques from other styles and making them work for you and your style. E.g i practive karate, and i could learn a flying knee. but use it in a karate manner. However, i dislike when people attempt to learn two styles. learn A style. and adapt moves to suit it. a river can't flow in two directions so to speak.

Even the best fighters can't honestly be expected to fight a big group because there'll always be one who knocks you down some way or the other if there are to much of them.
