  • Indian and African driver are same, No matter what they will never learn because there are all same. They want driver to form bad habit than earn money for minister.. They got there independent. So they can do what they like.

  • it was good it show how the mdiea is so consad to ther citizen

  • WEKA BARRIER KANDO YA BARABARA

  • Traffic lights are ignored in Kenya so thats not an option, If the ba$tards in Gov didnt pocket all the money they could build bridges all over but it wont happen.

  • Make lights and stop sighns for pedestians.why build a bridge? Make the cars fukin stop and let people cross.KENYA does not care about the poor on foot.Build roads but make it easy for us to cross.Wawesh &nonini u dont have common sense your self.kwani gari haziwezi kanyaga brake watu wavuke bara bara.Hypocrates in the high offices.Thats was up.

  • common sense is lacking big time build bridges and please kenyans use them if u have to be told to do so

  • police should arrest this people for j-walking there the ones causing all this problems by not using the footbridge.

  • GOOD IDEA!! In many countries it is an offence to cross the road at non-pedestrian crossings, i.e. J-walking. Do it in Mbabane Swaziland, and the fine is papo, hapo not negotation!

  • it would be much better if u put a walk through under the road, not flyovers.think of a person with a bicycle, how will they carry the bike up those stairs?

  • well all they need is traffic light so the vehicle will have to stop for the pedestrians thats all.. just like in America that will eliminate the posibility of faulks being hit by speeding vehicles

  • @gabbyolivia79 That will defeat the whole purpose of a HIGHWAY.

  • Why can't we make the vehicles use the bridge? in populated zones for a change? Costs will force greedy planners to

re-route Express n Fast HiWays far away from pedestrians!

(People are now an endangered species yet they're the taxpayers who fund these new roads)

  • pedestrian traffic light plus zebra crossing marks can be an easy start to control the risk of available hazard to low level as its cost effective. One traffic police on stand by after every pedestrian crossing line is required too. As road neads highsafety concern. only press button to bring the red light to the coming tracks to people can cross safely at there on time mostly children bellow age/lower primary whom dont have parent escort to nor from school.

  • Only that the Traffic Police Officer will convert the crossing place into a toll station, create traffic snarl ups as she collects illegal tax. Sorry but no to cops assistance at crossings!

  • lollipop ladies lol

if nothing else, the governmentts benchmark is road-safety. if they can't fix it, get new people in.

from the president to the town clerk.

    enough is enough

  • The only bridge that works in Nairobi is that of Times Towers across to City square/ Kenya Poly. Simply because there is steel railing erected to deter pedestrians. Either put the railing, or elevate the road to have pedestrians pass below, or put traffic lights that works and enforce discipline to the notorious pedestrians and motorists. Why do we spend billions to make the roads, and fail to spend a few dozen millions on things that really matter, safety, use and aesthetic details!!!!!

  • A high perimeter fence running parallel on either side of the road will deter compulsive crossovers...ideal in a country of madmen.

Where drivers respect pedestrians, not in Kenya, lights controlled intersection at certain intervals are sufficient.

  • A high perimeter bridge will work but for a time. In Accra they have built similar bridges with barbed wires over it but STILL people cut holes into the fence or use something solid like cardboards to cover the wires then jump over them. The education is the real solution.

  • more bridges/crossings yes but also ticket people for jay walking

  • foot bridge is good to keep fit but I think underground subways are the right option.

  • Dark subways are ideal for muggers K!

  • Pedestrians need to be protected!

    They're the majority!

  • Of course they are. That's why they have built a bridge for them for use and yet they keep running across 4 lanes and speeding cars. Pedestrians need a lot of education.

  • The entire community needs education on road safety. Right here we have a problem of vehicles over-speeding in a built up zone with a college and lots of business. Human nature is to use the shortest route available...legalize it!

  • Lee Toroitich Moi...this oi guy must declare that he has 6 sons: Gideon, Jonathan,Raymond, Philip, Lee and John Mark...wacha kuficha wengine...

  • Roads Ministry needs to build a bridge between Belevue & South B, which is a major pedestrian cross walk to alleviate accidents. They should also make jay walking illegal & take action on any one that breaks the prescribed law.
