  • I like the two contradicting top comments.

  • Is it just me, or is fucking every DEP song on youtube a live performance? (Besides Farewell Mona Lisa) I mean, it's fantastic that they didn't become studio rats after thirty shows like most bands these days, but I'm a bit of an audiophile. I need quality audio. Where?

  • @thisismyfcukingemail Just buy their CDs like I did ^^ DEP deserve it.

  • @thisismyfcukingemail mediafire dawt cawm :D

  • awesome band! This vid deserve more views

  • anyone noticed the singers big muscles? lol

  • Chris Brown advert before this video. What the fuck.

  • "Stranges Candy......(8) hahahahahah

  • Sono dei pazzi!

  • this is incredible

  • I think poop invented the style, but shit popularized it, shit's what I think, butt yeah in a fart Dillinger cemented the smile.

    eat a bag of dicks.

  • Mister mint says Ahhhh!

Your bag of old poop was lost in the wind.

  • the singer is fuckin jacked

  • come on guys, once again... what are you arguing for? the dillinger escape plan don't care, they're going to keep releasing auditory insanity regardless of your petty genre classification gripes.

so come on! sit down, fall asleep and take 'er easy!

  • Turn the vocals up.

  • glad penni left this terrible band

  • @Godxela18 what makes this band terrible? and don't say " their singer sounds funny"

  • @Godxela18 Nope.

  • @Godxela18 he left to join Coheed and Cambria right? He left this awesome, genre defining band to join a cheesy prog emo band. What a fool.

  • @mjrupps erm.....correct. Coheed and Cambria are fucking terrible. Dillinger escape plan are awesome. He is a fool.

  • @spiderjerusalem100 They're both awesome.

  • @spiderjerusalem100 They're both awesome.

  • @spiderjerusalem100 Dude, Chris Pennie had no choice but to leave, him and Ben Weinman had creative differences and were arguing almost everyday. The only solution was for one of them to leave, and Ben wrote most of the stuff, so he couldn't leave. So when Coheed offered him a job, he saw it as being saved. Chris Pennie is amazing, but he unfortunately did not belong with Dillinger any longer than he was with them.

  • Yet again a TV mix that sounds so much worse than it should do. Why cant the Vidiots stick to video and leave the sound to people that know what the fuck they're doing.

Good vid though. Fucking love TDEP.

  • Sounds awesome!

  • this band has grown so much since Calculating Infinity, imo the last 2 albums are amongst the greatest metal/rock/whatever albums of all time

  • Songs like this where they combine the melody and the chaos are by far the best :D Fuck all the haters that say that Calculating Infinity is their only good album. It is by far their worst, and they know it.

  • @dosrockerthebest agh right?!?... thank you!

  • @dosrockerthebest your right, but you cant say calculation infinity is bad :P

  • one of the best bands ever.

  • The screaming is very good. I thought they were going to be one of those bands that are only good in the studio. I guess i was wrong

  • Their new stuff and the stuff off ire works is a nice mix of impossible mathcore and melody. anyone who doesnt like new dillinger listen to the new album because all they have done is evolved

  • they should of made gregs mic louder! i dont know who sets up the equipment the show or the bands roadies or what but it was a good performance but could have been great

  • maybe they dont feel like making impossible songs anymore... i dont blame 'em, that's hard as shit.

  • @beefcake8888

Lol Seriously. haha the old stuff was insane.

  • damn i wish they would release a live album or "studio live" album. i much prefer this guitar driven version rather than the heavily produced album version

  • None of there song's have feel or melody, PeUnce.

  • bitching band

  • Although this drummer is quite the beast, I miss Chris. But he joined my personal favourite band. haha.

  • That solo is so fucking snazzy.

  • fail hardcore fandom is fail

  • @eanoDay91 Dillinger INVENTED technical hardcore, motherfucker.

  • @davethehostage haha sorry man. I agree! misunderstanding. By 'fail hardcore fandom' I meant people who won't even consider anything after calculating infinity because....it doesn't sound exactly like calculating infinity.

  • @eanoDay91 Ohhhhh. Well in that case, my apologies lol.

  • @davethehostage

    Damn right...

These dudes are the godfathers of tech-core.

What Meshuggah did for metal, Dilinger did for hard-core.

Too bad most emo/screamo/core kids listen to crappy bands that try too hard to be either if the above bands...

  • @davethehostage I think Converge invented the style and dillinger popularized it, it's what I think but yeah in a part Dillinger invented the style

  • @drumpro64 I don't know, I love Converge, but I never really saw them as a staple in the "mathcore" scene. They have technical aspects for sure, but they're not as prominent as they are in Dillinger.

  • singer took some molly

  • badass vid

  • i thought the point of dilinger was making different music?

i guess some fans missed the point.

  • if dillinger stuck to 'calculating infinity' they would've run out of ideas, like most other metalcore bands around. those who bash the band for showcasing that they aren't willing to homogenise with everything else have a lack of progressive knowledge, that of which the dillinger troupe have a lot of.

  • @rayfield75 MATHCORE

  • @rayfield75 They're mathcore. Not metalcore.

  • @bht97 mathcore is a subgenre of metalcore

  • Comment removed

  • @bht97 metalcore = metal + hardcore/screaming

    mathcore = math/extreme + metalcore

a mathcore band has screaming/yelling and is metal which is what metalcore is.

mathcore is just more a more specific type of metalcore

  • @HobbzzDude not that it even matters what genre they are. Dillinger is basically their own genre

  • Comment removed

  • @bht97 k, i cant explain it anymore. look up the definition for metalcore and mathcore anywhere and stop saying what u don't know

  • Comment removed

  • @bht97 holy shit stfu. u don`t know what you`re saying. Type in `mathcore` in google right now. every definition will say that its a style of metalcore, or it will say its a style of metal or hardcore (metalcore, yes that IS the definition of metalcore).

    Mathcore = Math Rock/Metal/Hardcore Punk

    Metalcore = Metal/Hardcore Punk

    Plz stfu.

  • @rayfield75 DEP is not metalcore what the fuck?

  • @mattoffthewall

it doesnt matter about the stupid sub genre XD

  • @rayfield75 After Mike Patton kicked ass in "Irony is a dead scene" they found they could do more. Fixed.

  • Comment removed

  • All their albums are great. Greg is awesome, billy is a sick ass drummer. and if you don't like it. fuck off!

  • Those sound check people need to be punched in the face. TURN GREG THE FUCK UP YOU BASTARDS.

  • ill start a fight with the lead singer and ill last all of 2 secs

  • vocals are always lacking something in their live performances.

music is tight as can be, they're definitely playing to a metronome for this.

  • DEP, my fav. band

  • I liked it when their vocalist actually did something on stage. This guy just bores me.

  • @lobster272 Watch some of their other live performances....you couldnt be more wrong about Greg.

  • @lobster272 I am with Jameswar1 on this one. I saw them last year for the first time with my son (he is 16). The highlight for him was when Greg punched him in the face LOL! Seriously though, live , all of them, are incredible.

  • @headinjuredkeeper best live band in my opinion. and ive seen a shitload of bands

  • @lobster272 you do realize he jumps off PA monitors live, right?

His live performances are the anti-boredom.

  • @panteraman32 i mean i've seen him do some crazy shit live (like jumping on a crowd of people at the virgin megastore) but he's not doing much here.

  • @lobster272

You best be trolling? they are the best band to see live, the singer Greg gose insane! jumps, climbs, runs on peoples heads throws road cases into the crowd. burns shit... yeah so dull and boring.

  • @HeatDeafMeltedGrill i already said, he really isn't doing much here. i've seen him do crazy shit live, though.

  • this video is INCREDIBLE

  • I love both old and new DEP, but I think this honestly might be my favorite song by them. Maybe its cause I've only been listening to their entire catalogue for a little over a year, but this has some awesome little down time in it that makes the dynamic range that much more intense.

  • impeccable timing. Not a fan of grindcore or hardcore or whatever kids decide to call it these days but you have to respect the musicianship. Saw them at a show a couple years back. Those guitarist rip.

  • Comment removed

  • Vocals really need to be turned up.

  • Am I the only one that thought Dillinger was at their best with Mike Patton?

  • yes

  • its easyier to throw ya gat round and not fuck up wen its higher

  • @Tedz59p cause they play lower & mathcore requires a lot of precision (helps to be closer)

    and they're all kinda small

  • @Tedz59p Only pricks hold their instruments at their ancles, they forget instruments are made to be played, which is impossible to do when it's scraping across the floor.

  • WHoa wtf, chill I asked a question. DOuce

  • @Tedz59p And it's spelt ''douche'', just so you know.

  • @dornerd You would know..

  • I'm not even sure if that is supossed to be an insult.

  • @Tedz59p Seriously? Any good guitarist or bassist wears their guitar high. It gives better range of the guitar.

  • @bookmonster15 So Jimi Hendrix, Buckethead, Kirk Hammet, Paul Gilbert, Matt Heafy. These are obviously bad players?

  • @Tedz59p For one, Hendrix never wore his guitar low, it was actually pretty close to these guys in strap adjustment, Buckethead has his pretty high as well, Kirk Hammet wears his lower but not ridiculously low, Paul Gilbert is kind of annoying and he doesn't wear his guitar too low either. At least look at pictures of these players before just throwing out names of obviously good guitar players to try and prove an invalid point.

  • I've jerked off many times to this video.

  • incredibly good performance.

altough you barely hear Greg´s Voice.

  • @stelderhaiderman ya i no

  • sw33t

  • is he singing?

  • Are you just trying to be a troll?

  • @TepochaTe ha ha you would scream if he got hold of you he`s fucking massive

  • A girl who could whoop your ass.

  • yeah, just hearing this girl makes my ass get fun

  • Nice engerish there, kimosabe.

  • need to turn vocals up or guitars down

  • I'd love to see him get a man-tandrum.

  • "tantrum"

  • lets see you play this stuff.

not to mention they were nominated for best live performance in 2006.

  • you suck dude. dillinger is the shit live.

  • WUT?

  • hhahaha are you kidding.

  • ITT, People who know nothing of progressive music.

  • Does anyone know why Gil left the band?

  • he never was a permeant member of the ban, just filling in. but his main band is stolen babies with his brother. which is awesome, btw, check em' out.

  • hes in another band called 'Stolen Babies'

  • I love this band, but def. not one of their best performances.

  • How good could Chris be if he left for Coheed and Cambria? I like Gil much better. He's more crisp.

  • Gil is not anymore in the band dude!

  • Man. These guys are one of the most refreshing bands i have heard in a LONG time.

  • One of the best from Miss, but I feel the absence of Chris

  • Best small venue show i've seen... PERIOD!

  • man it's dep regardless they wrote calculating infinity CALCULATING INFINITY best fucking album in all time in there own right of course plus come to daddy cover with MIKE fucking PATTON.

  • I love finding a band that's been around for a while. let's me 'grocery shop' through the music. And with DEP i bought the whole store.

  • mate i think the vocals being that way makes it more live. and yeh, dep are a beast, they can do what they want, at end of the day they worked with mike patton, and hes a fucked up musical monkey isnt he... u know... everything is good x

  • Badly mixed, the vocals need to be louder

  • Gil is merely a minion of God Chris Pennie

  • okay, so yeah setting fire, black bubblegum, milk lizard, and unretrofied may be a big departure from the "old" style of DEP, but what can you say for horse hunter, nong eye gong, fix your face, panasonic youth, van damsel, etc. It makes me wonder if you so called "old school DEP fans" have even listened to the albums past infinity at all or just jump on the bandwagon because your friends say they suck now too. Bottom line, if you want to hear infinity again, then buy it and fucking listen to it

  • Lol I hate the people that bash Dillinger for showing a bit of diversity. I see it as more of flaunting what they can do, and I love it.

  • I love the bridge in Fix Your Face. Sounds like what ska would sound like if ska didn't suck

  • greg's mic needs to be turned up or something

  • I don't like Gil on drums for this song, he really changed it... though i think it's his style!

  • im sooo sick of ppl critisizing dillinger for being too "different" than their old stuff...they just keep getting better with more experimentation, get used 2 it, they WANT to change

  • Totally.. One can't always think about what the crowd wants.

They make their audience follow them.

  • but no one did anything like they used to...they pretty much started a sound and now they doing stuff that's not as creative...I mean they can do what they want but the old stuff was unique and interesting and never been done so you have to understand that people that loved that stuff are just bummed and wish they could hear more intense, super creative stuff from this band.

  • Lovely...

  • this is not the dillinger that i once knew.

  • this is miss machine

  • not like the old days though is it.

  • they should fire their sound engineer :)

  • He just left for metro station xD

  • too fucking right.

  • Why are dillinger so fucking great!? i cant realy set my finger on it!

  • Oh motherfucker god! this is the best live of this song I've seen.

  • i really wish that greg's vocals were a little bit higher in the mix because this is a really good recording of the song. i usually hate hearing it live but this makes me fall in love with the song again. wow i'm gay for a fan of dillinger.

  • I'm surprised... This was actually an impressive performance. Usually I am let down by Greg... But he seems to still have it.

  • Awesome

  • finally this video is available
