I Actually believe that his interpretation is wrong. I believe we should take the scripture as it is, The Locust is just that Locust, of course this Locust are not normal. Example when the Locust are commanded not to harm any trees, or the grass, well Locust eat trees and Grass, but this Locust are commanded not to harm them, it cannot be merely man as in a War between man everything including trees goes kaboom.

It is impossible for them to be Islamic Powers/Army as the bottomless pit is an Actual Place. The Prison of some Fallen Angels that revolt against God, and are place there in chains of darkness until Judgment Day. John Clearly sees this creature come out of the bottomless pit when the falling star is given the key to that place. How can this be an Islamic Army?

@07braves Braves and @ zee as well. We know that the scripture speaks of the Dragon right. the Dragon is symbolic how do we know? because scripture Do tell us who the Dragon is. "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years" Revelation 20:2 so the Dragon is satan. But scriptures do not make any more declarations in regards to the locust Why? perhaps because Locust are Locust or in this case extremely strange locust.

@ArkDJean ..you are correct in the beast being roman...but the locusts (islamic army)..is not directly connected with the roman beast itself. there is some evidence though, that Islam has a connection with the roman catholic church..both venorate Mary...both use prayer beads.....the name Fatima in both.....etc. Some islamic leaders have connections with the vatican even today.

@ArkDJean You are correct, the bottomless pit is an actual place, we don't know were it is located. The locust that comes out is not literal locust but a spirit of sorts. I believe the bible uses locust to show the number of them. This part of the bible in chapter 9 is telling of an army that is possesed by an evil spirit(s) that goes out tormenting man for 5 months. It then explains what they will look like in v.7-10

I can only think of two options here, either they are demonic spirits that not only spiritually but physically come out of the bottomless pit at the sounding of the trumpet, and they take on that form, hair of a women, scorpion tails, etc. etc, or the Locust is actually symbolic for their numbers. The last 3 trumpets are call Woes for a reason, and I believe that something completely strange will happen

@altorstenlinton2 ..let me ask you..how do you read daniel 9:24-27..the 70 weeks is how many days?..490 correct?..then if you put 490 days into that prophecy of the temple being rebuilt unto the MESSIAH (JESUS)..and then the MESSIAH being cut off (crucified)..THINK..ALL Biblical teachers see this as YEARS because When Artexerxes was having the temple built unto the Messiahs arrival..was FAR longer than 490 days..it was exactly 490 YEARS...If this is used as YEARS in daniel then so is the other!
