  • Jesus guys, this album was recorded on the 90's, and composed by a former grunge drummer, what do you expect it to sound like?

  • The beginning reminds me of serve the servants a bit

  • @SlipperyTounge C'mon man; that was a bit uncalled for...

  • Power Track!!

  • f*ck yea

  • Ads suck. So do u

  • Great tune, i like it better than Nirvana.

  • @bassmanjoe fagget.

  • @SlipperyTounge Who the fuck are you calling fagget? You don't even know me, and it's my opinion asshole!

  • @bassmanjoe WELL YOUR OPINION IS VERY FAGGY.

  • @SlipperyTounge How old are you? Grow the fuck up!!

  • damn this actually sounds so good

  • I definitely hear Nirvana overtones in this song.

  • these were the days where there were still grunge in daves blood

  • fav foofighters song

  • Holy shit! This just gave me fucking chills! No wonder why Kurt liked it so much. It sounds like Kurt's spirit fucking lives in this song! R.I.P dude we <3 you....

  • Nirvana´s sound for a song like this would have been dirtier, in my opinion. There are similarities but every instrument sounds clean and smart. But yes, first album by FF has reminiscenses of that era, the spirit is in there.

  • @barbarian981 I think that's because in recordings. Kurt usually recorded with a Jaguar or a Mustang i believe. Whereas Dave has recorded every Foo's record with a really odd guitar that sort of resembles a ES-335.

  • @SuperMegabar according to dave he has recorded every albumb with his gibson trina lopez signuature model

  • @eggnog1337 THATS IT!! Couldn't remember the name of it thanks xD

  • What pleases me with the Foo Fighters' debut album is that the rudimentary side of the production doesn't marr the excellence of the songs!

  • Dave was so influenced by Kurt at this point, it almost sounds like Nirvana. I can close my eyes and almost hear Dave's voice turn into Kurt's in this song.

I guess thats why Kurt liked it.

  • @seatleson I was thinking exactly the same. This sounds so much like something grungy enough for Kurt to sing it.

  • @seatleson To me, this could never be a Kurt song. Dave Grohl's writing is smarter than Kurts - which doesn't necessarily mean better - I just feel Dave is using his brain more to write the music than Kurt, who uses his gut. Just my opinion.

  • love the diminished chord sound..!! so fucking sexy, thats what makes nirvana's and the foo fighters sound soo appealing, for me at least

  • 'Oh, finally, now I don't have to be the only songwriter in the band!'

    - Kurt Cobain after listening to this song

  • @Kingddd333 Stop depending on wikipedia for likes!!!

  • @Kingddd333 yes

  • @Kingddd333 I read in an interview with dave were he said that he played exhausted for him. kurt really liked that one as well.

  • @Kingddd333 "Oh no. We're doing just fine with your songs."

-Dave Grohl after hearing Kurt's reaction

  • wow, first time i hear this song. and it's just amazing...

  • This song is so good. The whole melody is like my theme song

  • awesome, best song ever

  • so Nirvanaesque.

  • The fun thing is that this music talks about Kurt and Krist "bullying" Dave

  • Kurt wanted to sing this song ... Kurt approved!

  • Don't fight the Foo

  • Brings back memories of being sweet sixteen, wearing oversized cardigans, DM boots, stealing booze from our parents alcohol cabinets, going to my first festival, sneaking into local pub gigs, writing lyrics in tippex on friends bags...

  • @CDPINK08 Right on!

  • @777jackpot0 ah yes of course

  • this song kinda sounds like serve the servants it least the verse riff

  • @777jackpot0 in a dark parking lot?

  • By far my favorite Foo album. I just like the overall sound and composition. It really kicks into high gear starting with this song. Good times back in high school playing along on my guitar.

  • Kurt Cobain liked this song also.

  • @RuudvanGOLL Kurt heard it? wasn't it released in 1995? or was it one of the stuff dave wrote that no one heard before and went on this album?

  • @ItsAwesomeMan Yeah these song were written long before 1995. Watch the last uploaded vid on my channel. that will explain EVERYTHING!

  • @RuudvanGOLL Of course he did, this song is AWESOME

  • really like this!

  • awesome song. :D
