@hallobaaaby Thanks! It needs to be hand launched, so all the power is appreciated. That said, you're motor is probably a lot more powerful than each of these motors.
nice plane. but its called the hughes h-4 herculese. and it is one of the worlds worst aircraft. it never flew. it made a short hop on a taxi run. it was forever grounded by the faa
@nolifewithoutrc10 Gas is alright, My comment had nothing to do with me ripping on electrics though. Now did it?
But I am a nice guy and respond with the benefits that I know of.
You will put a years worth of gas into a giant scale model, probably twice that much, before it equals the cost of one battery for a giant scale model.
Gas can be landed, fueled, and flown again right away as well.
There is nothing wrong with flying gas and there is no better one. I like both. glow power is nice too
Eeeeyeah... By the time we were done wiring 4 motors, 8 would have been a nightmare for us amateurs. Also, it would have cost about twice as much and we can fly just fine with 4 so...
@greenseaships cool I understand that but I'm wondering about where the props overlap. wouldn't you get more power if you spaced them more like #1 fake #2 real #3fake #4 real #5real #6fake and so on.And I would think the wash would turn the other props. I'm not trying to knock it ,I just like to think about how things can be done better but I don't know much about RC. can't wait to see the water test and hopefully it will fly ;)
@riverlifeva The problem with spacing them like that if you lose a motor and it's way out further on the wing, it has a more dramatic effect on the power. For example, if you had motors very close to the fuselage (center of gravity) and you lost one, you wouldn't feel much difference on a 100-inch span. If you had motors further out and lost a motor, it might force you into a spin before you could cut the throttle and glide down.
Looks nice! isn't it overpowered with all the engines?-- i fly one third wider glider (same weight) with a single motor.

@RCvehicleGuy gas is far worse than electric.
1. it costs a fortune on gas money
2. much heavier, meaning bigger planes
3. more expensive overall
